Works great as a helmet lock

I bought this to use on a Shotgun, but decided against it for two reasons, One my shotgun is used as a primary home defense weapon and two I am single with no children ever having access to my apartment while I am away. This lock is however a very fine piece of work as it is small enough to fit through the chambering mechanism of about any gun out there, be it a shot gun, riffle, or pistol. the twisted cable is coated from end to end as well as the lock it's self to help keep it from scratching or damaging the weapon and the keys though small are a little bit beefier then those that often come with a $20 brief case or other inexpensive piece of luggage. Even though i won't be using mine except on occasion should the need to transport my gun arise. I still feel it was a good investment and don't regret the purchase in any way. If you have children or more then one gun that you wish to add a higher level of security to then I highly recommend this item. This like any lock won't stop a thief or anyone hell bent on using your gun but it will slow them down and this will defenitly keep a small child from firing a gun unintentionally changing the lives of themselves and others. Please remember safe gun ownership isn't only our right, but it is also our responsibility.

A good quality, sturdy and smooth cable gun lock.

I'm going to nitpick a little and say that I think the mechanism is a bit finicky, for example at the unlock position, the mechanism can easily rotate back to the lock position if you fumble your fingers, or when you take the cable out of the lock at an angle, so when you think you unlocked it, it could not be. Also, when the cable is locked, where the end connects to the lock, it is a bit loose, ALTHOUGH it will NOT come out. Again, I'm nitpicking, and I'm satisfied with the product because it does what its supposed to do.

It Does it’s job. Although I wish the keys and lock mechanism was a little sturdier. Won’t take but a small bolt cutter to remove but like I said it does it’s job and add extra security.

I order this lock because I recently purchased a Glock and didn't come with the lock.Once I put it on, for safety reasons, it seems that the actual Glock manufacture was the one that sent it to me. (it is made out of a great quality)I recommend for you to buy this product as it is always great to have peace of mind in the house, especially with kids around (eventhouth I have it in a safe, I always like to have a second protection to it) s

Order this cable lock for a upcoming trip which I needed a CA compliant lock for transportation of my handgun. Very sturdy and easy to use definitely worth the money. Very happy with my purchase will be ordering more for any future firearms I purchase.

I got this for the Premium Tactical Supply Single Pistol Case. The cable lock that came with my gun did not fit but this one fit perfectly into that case. If you were buying this for your pistol, I recommend the cable, it is legit and feels very secure when locked. The key also works very nicely and if I needed to get another cable, it is nice to know they are all keyed the same so I wouldn't need a bunch of keys.
