FlexaMedPlantar Fasciitis Arch Supports with XRD PORON Impact Cushioning (Pair) - Large

Over the past 5-7 years, I have tried probably every arch support made. Cannot begin to describe my frustration with the unbelievable disappointment in just about every product that I have tried. The arch supports that I have bought failed to offer even the most minimal level of pain relief or adequate arch support. Ever the optimist, I just happened to see these arch support on Amazon last week for the first time. Only had three reviews but all were 5 stars. Looking at the picture of the product, I was hopeful. Maybe this time??? Although I have only about 24 hours experience wearing these arch supports (they arrived in yesterday's mail---super fast shipping), what can I say??? Ahhhh...At last!! Sweet, sweet relief! These arch supports are very well-made. The design is made to totally cradle the arch perfectly. In fact, this arch support fits very much like custom-made, doctor prescription, medical supply house quality, medical supports that I have used before after a sports injury. These arch supports feel so good that I haven't taken these off since I put them on yesterday! I'm going to order two more pair so that I can wear these every day. Highly, highly recommend. Another arch support that I also like is [[ASIN:B004X7DDS2 PolyGel Silicone Gel Foot Arch Wraps SM/MD - (Set of 2)]. These arch supports do a pretty good job. The gel support was way too much for me, so I cut the gel support out and threw it away. This product would be my second choice to this product.

So check it out...I just got these in the mail. After a 12-hour shift I strapped them onto my swollen, aching, puffy feet. Honestly, I was pissed because I couldn't really feel a change in the condition of my feet.I must have been in a state of delirium.Before I went to sleep, still a little pissed, I took them off with the thought in my head to return them. Besides, what's a little foot wrap gonna do for my PF anyway? I don't even HAVE arches...I woke up feeling a bit mislead and disappointed for making yet another useless purchase.As my feet had returned to normal size, I decided I would give the arch supports another try. I work nights and I sit at a desk while my plantar fascia tighten. This tightening is accompanied only by super swollen feet.I stopped by the mini mart to grab a banana nut muffin and my feet felt better than I know they would have without the arch supports. See, I usually have to prance around on tiptoes like a princess or... limp.None of that! I am at work now. Wearing my supports at my desk, over my socks, inside of my boots. When I do my periodic plantar fascia foot flexes, everything feels great. The bottoms of my feet aren't sore and there isn't any pain when I get up and take a short walk.Feet are doing great. We'll see what happens toward the end of my shift. Let's say, around 3 o'clock a.m. and beyond. That's when I run into the most issues with pain and such.And that's why I titled this review as such!**UPDATE**'Tis a bit past 1:30 a.m. I get off work at 6 a.m.My feet still feel great. I have some inflammation on the outer part of my ankle (the little ball, you know?) but that's not something I expected the supports to help me with... Plus my feet swell at night regardless of having supported arches or not.I looked at some diagrams about arch supports and I am definitely a happier camper.I guess understanding what's going on (despite how simple) made a difference to me- since I'd felt a little let down with the impression that I bout some "plain old" product that wouldn't help me.My PF is not acting up tonight and I have the arch supports to thank for that.

It works okay. Maybe it would work better for others. I took a chance that I'd help my PF but it was not the miracle cure I was hoping for. But, that should not reflect poorly on the product. I use it for other purposes like with my foot brace to keep my upper foot from getting scratched. It works for that. The price is not bad and it is probably worth a try for some people.
