Impressed how accurate this was for the price, easy to use and understand ,helped diagnose a roof leak and damp issue ,so recommended.

Measuring how damp things are, is not easy to corroborate. This device certainly gives readings which seem about right according to appearance and feel. I have to trust it!

Great, I could use it, but note the presecence of metal in a wall may through it off. Going on viewings for next home move and was sick of seller telling fibs saying it was dry, the damp metre doesn't lie and for the money on an offer it could save you hundreds on unnecessary survey fees. UPDATE: Still works well if you follow the instructions.

works well and doesn't mark the surface. It gives a good visual representation by bar graph and percentage of the amount of water/dampness in the material tested instantaneously. What's not to like?

It works. It leaves holes in the caravan wall and only shows maximum of 30% damp. Your fingers can show 5% !! To sum up, it's a fair guide for the price but not for professional use

Ich habe es bereits oft verwendet und es sieht immer noch wie neu aus. Es ist auch sehr einfach zu reinigen und zu pflegen. I had a leaking problem on my 2nd floor. So I purchased this small detector to help me figure out where is the leaking point. the outside package is nice. it is about the size of an iPhone. It comes with a bag, two AAA batteries, and a manual. The detector has a small LCD screen and four buttons ( on/off, wood, hold, and paper/wall). The design is easy and clean, even a 10 years old kid can learn how to use it within a minute. The LCD screen is very bright, you can read the screen easily under direct sunshine. The probe is relatively sharp, so you need to keep it away from an infant. When put in use, you just need to use the probe to contact the surface you want to read; sometimes it takes a couple of tries or/and different angles before you can read the number, but most time it should not be a big problem. I used it on my floor and ceiling, it gave me the correct reading and helped me find out the source of the leaking. Keep in mind it will not give you a very accurate reading, but only a range. this small thing is not designed for scientific research. For its price, I do not have anything to compalin.

Like that it came in with a battery and a small protective pouch. I tried it on various pine furniture in the house that was acclimatised, and they all read very close to each other in moisture (about 2% variation, 11-13%), so the reading for softwoods seems quite reasonable). Walls were checked in a few rooms with the drywall setting and also very similar, so consistency seems quite reasonable.
