exactly what I wanted for travel
An excellent, lightweight, non-reactive & re-usable bottle. The 18oz is a good size, similar to a normal disposable bottle of water. Screws & unscrews easily, no leaks.After carrying this on a few trips, I'm very pleased with it.It's about half the weight of the Gaiam glass bottle I was carrying before. It's slimmer so it fits neatly in the side pockets of my backpack even when the packs are full. And doesn't seem to leave any taste or hold any flavors. The opening is large enough for cubes or for adding tablets or mixes (my bottle doubles as a shaker when I travel).Others may want something that holds temperature for longer, or has a full day's water supply, or whatever. But for this (travel) use case, the wasted space of an insulated bottle would make the bottle unusable. This size and design is perfect.

Rubber ring on mouth of bottle is a poor design choice
Usually a metal water bottle will have a rubber ring on the cap to make a seal when the cap is screwed on. Unfortunately this bottle has the rubber ring on the mouth instead of the cap. This makes screwing on the cap a real pain, and is rather unpleasant if you want to drink directly from the mouth instead of the nozzle. It also means the rubber is permanently attached to the bottle and can’t be replaced like the cap can.Otherwise the bottle is good quality, but the rubber ring is a deal breaker for me.

it’s a good water bottle but the cap squeaks and it’s so annoying.

Our family’s favorite water bottle! Easy to clean, light weight. We have multiple. It does make a sound when you’re chugging but it’s not an issue for us.
