My new optima D31M battery weighs almost 70 pounds and did not come with a carrying strap. I have a tight and difficult position for the battery in the bilge area of my boat. With the weight of the battery I was worried about using one of the strap-type battery carriers so opted to go with this one. Very secure method for carrying, removing or installing batteries

Just place below the ridges on each side of the battery, slide it to hug the battery, and lift. The handle and the way it lifts makes it much easier to lift a battery than the typical post lifter type. Its a light-weight but strong metal construction. The handle is excellent, so you can get a perfect grip to safely and easily lift battery. Used this to lift big, 70 pound 200 AmpHour golf cart battery. Money well spent.

Turns lugging batteries around into a much easier task, also great for lowering batteries into an engine bay.

Ok..I get it...probably a simple thing to figure out, but while I was pulling trying to get this thing to open and do what it is supposed to it pinched my finger very badly. No instructions. Please include a description on how to properly open, push, and pull so we don't have to figure it out and risk our fingers. I returned.

They do handle regular batteries but do not reach side to side to allow picking them up the long way that sometimes is better, but it did work even when the gap between body and battery was small. I just think these are better than using a strap on the post.

Bought this to remove batteries from a 2015 Silverado 3500HD Duramax. The battery on the passenger side is very tight to get at. This battery lifter worked great, made removing and installing very easy.
