I really enjoyed using this product, the 3-4 times I’ve used it to grate cheese. Today while using it to grate Colby Jack, the mechanism that holds the handle in place to the grater piece broke, and now to be able to use it I need to hold the grating piece in place. I’ve had this product less than a year .I have reached out to the company, so I am waiting to see if they send me a new handle; and Will absolutely update this review.Other than the handle breaking it’s a great product, easy to use and wash, which has always been my biggest gripe with traditional graters.UPDATE- As promised I said I would update this when and if I heard back from the manufacturer. They promptly got back to me, and instead of just replacing the handle, are sending me a whole new unit.I updated to 5 stars because this is a great product except for the handle breaking. It is extremely easy to use.Word of advice, if you’re going to use it on a marble or granite counter top, make sure it is free from anything on it, I use an alcohol wipe and let it dry. It will effect the suction base and it will slip

Update: The main drum we use broke and put in a support replacement under warranty. They said the drum was free but had to pay shipping. That's not the way warranty works. Now the second drum has broken so it's in the recycle bin and have ordered a different brand. I'm a service manager and when our customers products break under warranty we do not require them to pay shipping. The product works great but does not last long under heavy use.Omg wow!! This product is so great! Originally purchased after we discovered what the white stuff on bagged cheese was. We now shred all our own cheese from natural blocks and the taste and melting is so much better. It's so easy and fast it adds no more time to our cooking. We now have started using it for homemade potato chips, Cucumber slices, shredded carrots, and shredded zucchini. It's much easier and safer than a mandolin. It's durable and dishwasher safe, so easy to clean. The shredded cheese is so good I love to eat it straight out of the bowl!

This is very easy to assemble. It comes with 3 grate sizes, which are all easy to clean.It is all plastic except for the bottom, which is a suction. It doesn’t suction very well unless your counter is spotless and clean. As soon as a crumb gets under it, it will pop off.It’s a very comfortable hand position and you can go at your own speed since it is a turn handle.Overall, it seems like a safe product, as your hands will not be near the grater.

I just wanted to take some time to thank Zulay Kitchen again for the great product. I bought it a year ago, the handle broke, and I reached out to support. They had quick responses and great customer service. The experience was so smooth and hassle free that I went out of my way to checkout their full website and ordered $60 in new stuff I'd not planned at all to spend, because I truly believe that it's rare to find the level of customer service you've provided anymore.I know just how painful people can make customer service and selling products is. They were kind, quick, and sincere, and even though I didn't know for sure the item would be covered by any sort of warranty, I was very happy to hear that they not only had a lifetime warranty but the grater I've had has been WAY worth the money spent. I was already willing to spend the money on a new one.Thank you again for a smooth transaction. Here's to hoping their company continues to grow and continue to keep its business model one of such a rare caliber.

Although the CONCEPT for this grater is exceptional, the actual device doesn't work.The suction part that is supposed to keep it stable during operation does not grip the counter surface. I tried the Formica counter and a Stainless Steel surface. It wouldn't grip either one. Next, the handle would not stay attached to the grater when grating cheese. Lastly, the grating wheel scraped the plastic housing during operation leaving terrible scratches on the housing.Again, great concept but made with inferior materials. Design needs improvement.I bought this as a birthday gift for my husband. By the time he went to use it, the 30 day return window had passed, so we couldn't return it.

Shipping was fast. I got the blue color and it’s very pretty. It wasn’t as sturdy as I expected. First I tried the slicer attachment on peppers. Wouldn’t recommend doing that again, I’m going to try a cucumber or something firmer next time. It grated the cheese well enough.The product itself is lower quality than I was expecting. Flimsy plastic. The “locking” part doesn’t work well, as the base and grater housing come apart when using. The base’s suction also is unreliable. Overall, I didn’t find this any easier to use than a traditional grater. I would not buy this product again.

I love this cheese grater. We stopped buying shredded cheese and now only buy it by the block. This allows us to save money but also get better cheese. It assembles easily allowing us to quickly grate the cheese and clean up is just as fast. I put the grating parts in the dishwasher and they have held up perfectly. The only thing I would change would be to extend the spout a bit to allow for easier pouring of the grated cheese into a bowl. Other than that fantastic product!

At first, this grater worked fine. The suction was never good, but it grated well. After about 6 months, it started to break. Little plastic pieces started falling off, and now the spinner doesn’t stay attached. I do grate a decent amount of cheese (a few blocks a week), so maybe if you’re just using it to grate once in a while, this might be ok (but in that case, why wouldn’t you just hand grate things?)

Quality of product is excellent. Easy to use and easy to glean. Really good suction to the counter .Absolutely worth what I paid. Only thing that could be changed is the length of the chute it could be longer . Other than that highly recommend

First I tried one that attached to my Kitchenaid mixer - was a disaster. But I really wanted something besides a box grater (or dragging out the food processor) to grate mozzarella. Ordered this and tried it on cheese - worked great! The slant of the chute is smart - food comes out into a bowl easily. The gap between the blades and the chute isn't too big so not as much gets jammed in there. That it's recommended to clean in the dishwasher is great - so easy to clean and not worry that it will take its toll on the parts is a bonus. Used it for grating zucchini today - again, wonderful. I took the advice to wipe off the counter with a damp cloth and wipe the bottom of the stand with a damp cloth and the suction is rock solid. For the price, this is a winner and I'd highly recommend it.

In general its a great produkt the lacking in it is the length of the mouthpiece that leads shredded cheese to the bowl it’s not long enough and the grated cheese/ product does not entirely fall into the bowl.
