Great book for those whom love dramatic gardens!
This is a big book. It's filled with the stories and sights of this magnificent property. This is not a garden, it is a property of 37 acres! Love seeing all the different themes running throughout the garden spaces. My only complaint is that I wish there were more pictures of Galla in this book. Know as a garden eccentric, I would have loved to see more of her, in her finest amongst the garden. This book is nicely photographed and full of photos. A helpful guide also is included in the back with pics and names of the great plants she used. Worth every penny!

Rizzoli. That says it all. Lots of double page bleeds. Absolutely splendid.
So the production values are excellent. As to the subject matter, that is a matter of choice. Offhand. I'd say it is the best garden book I've ever seen. Especially as the garden itself has so many fascinating facets, it is as if you see many individual gardens, not just one. An extravaganza. Worth the money.

Gorgeous cover and more
This was a beautiful coffee table book containing gorgeous photographs of the various gardens of this estate. The topiary garden was my personal favorite. I really wish that section of the book was longer though. The Japanese garden and the statues in the Theatre garden were my next favorite features. Overall, this is a lovely book which I definitely recommend.

Stunningly beautiful book
In a place as hard as Lotusland is to get to visit, it's nice to have this gorgeous book with amazing photos of the gardens. Anyone interested in California gardens or gardening or someone who appreciates beautiful, one of a kind gardens will enjoy this book. Can always pick it up for a few minutes and view a section that will lift your spirits! Well done.
