Berry Delicious
The texture softens when you moisten it I like to dip my banana in the powder@ the recommended amount. It is a mild tart taste. I like it better than a lot of sugar. It lasts longer than the jam does. It's worth the money. I don't know what the benefits are . A friend introduced me to this berry jam 7 years ago.

Real lingonberry flavor
Lingonberry is very popular in Northern Europe, I’m told, but less well known around here unless you’re from a traditional Scandinavian region or family. It’s a tart berry with a floral scent, best served as jam or with additional sugar or other sweetener. It’s sort of like cranberry in that regard. This product contains the equivalent of perhaps a pound of fresh berries in freeze dried form, and is intended to be used as a flavor ingredient in cooking. I tried adding a quarter teaspoon to tea (good) and about a half teaspoon to my oatmeal, along with a teaspoon of brown sugar and a bit of milk (also good). I think an ideal use would be as a flavoring ingredients for ice cream. It’s a bit pricey- $13 for two ounces works out to $104/lb. Assuming that freeze drying removes 90% of the weight, that’s more reasonable, though still expensive. Unless you have a specific use for the freeze dried product, buying lingonberry jam seems like a more reasonable way to get that flavor.

Tastes like the fruit
Lingonberries have several protective benefits. I got the frozen fruit from another brand, excellent. This powder form tastes as good, perfect to mix with yogurt

Billions and billions of berries
I came from a part of the country with a lot of northern European immigrants and drinking lingonberry beverages was as common as coke or pepsi. A lot of places had it in their fountain machines and it was made with pure juice. I don’t know why it was so plentiful in the U.S. then and not so popular not. I happen to love the taste, it’s sort of sweet and tart at the same time similar to cranberry but more interesting. The good news is that most lingonberry drinks are pure with no additives while the cranberry people rarely sell pure juice, it’s always a weak concentrate. I never understood that because cranberries are like weeds in parts of the country. There are still places where it’s easy to get lingonberry drinks, a few restaurants in my area, any Ikea store and three of my grocery stores sell it by the bottle for about a buck more than orange juice. But I’ll get to price in a minute. Okay, minute’s up, there’s no way I can review this without mentioning that for twelve bucks you get that one envelope with two ounce of power in it (which will never taste like fresh squeezed, even if it’s been bottled. My brain said logically they must mean you get 12 packets for twelve bucks. But no. There’s not a thing I can say about the product itself, other that it’s powdered lingonberries, maybe a dozen of them. Every farmer who harvests them probably has billions of them per acre. So I just don’t keep what these people are trying to do. The fact that it’s packed in Russia is meaningless – lingonberries (which thrive in very cold climates) are plentiful over millions and millions of miles in northern Europe. You can buy better stuff by mail from Ikea if you don’t have one in your area and the major chain grocery stores usually sell it for about four bucks a container. YES OR NO It’s your money and your choice, which is why my 3 means neutral, I am not swaying either way. I think I have many better choices so that’s all I have to say.

DO NOY BUY
If I could give 0 stars, I would. This product is NOT RETURNABLE but it is NOT mentioned in the description. It also smells so bad that you cannot drink it.
