Works well, two small issues
It connected painlessly to the display, accepted power from one of the display's ordinary USB ports (didn't need the high-power port), and once you get it on your WiFi network, it just shows up as it should in the Mac AirPlay choices. Display quality is excellent. For all this, it WOULD get 5 stars, but...Three things to beware of:(1) Do NOT install their nasty app. You don't need it, and it's adware, it floods you with offers for 20 things per minute. Just use the nice web interface to configure the device (instructions follow).(2) It appears to have no "sleep" mode. When the computer sleeps, the Miracast switches to it's bright blue setup instruction screen. And because it's an active HDMI signal, the display does not sleep either. So there's a significant danger of burn-in unless you physically turn off your display when not in use.(3) Finally, there's a button on top of the little device that just invites you to click it, but is completely undocumented in the user guide. It's a factory reset button! I had to go thru the whole device config a second time after discovering this :-)Instructions for configuring the device through the web interface:1. Look at the blue setup screen on your display after connecting the device to HDMI and USB power. You should see three things, "Connect to:" and a network name like "MiraScreen XXXXXX"; "Password" defaulting to 12345678; and "Open browser to" and an IP address (four numbers with a period in between).2. Go to your computer or WiFi enabled phone, WiFi settings, and find the Mirascreen network name. Connect to it, instead of your usual network. (This is temporary, just while you're configuring it.)3. Go to the browser and enter the IP address of the device.4. It should pop up a login dialog asking for password. Enter the password from above.5. That should get you to the setup web app. It's very nice and straightforward. Your immediate need is to configure the device's Network settings to use your home WiFi. It may proactively pop a dialogue asking you to do so, if not just select Network in the setup page.6. While you're at it, change the device's Password so people driving by on the street can't compromise it and maybe thereby get your home network settings.7. When you're done, close the browser page and go back to your WiFi settings, and connect back to your usual WiFi network. That should do it. The "MiraScreen" should now show up in your AirPlay or ScreenCast display options, not just on this computer, but for ANY AirPlay-enabled device within range. Despite ambiguous wording in the user guide, you do NOT need their app in order to use the the AirPlay!

Just read the instructions
It took me about an hour of head scratching, but I got it set up. Works with "Screencast" that is standard on both of my Android devices. (Same place as the WIFI status, Airplane mode, etc.) When that's engaged the audio goes to the TV, too. Nice. I hope to be able to use it to send video from my phone/tablet to a hotel TV, almost all of which have an unused HDMI port. You'll need to discover it to your WIFI to set it up, but, if I read it correctly, it doesn't need to be connected to WIFI to cast. We'll see, next time I'm out of town.

For the price it’s nice.
Don’t like how you can’t hide settings… but over all works well!

Slight improvement
Unit connects to phones slightly faster than older EZMirra dongle. Still has same problem with interference and disconnecting when microwave is uses in next room.

Too much lag
I bought this to cast my laptop wirelessly to my monitor because my HDMI port is going out so a wired connection isn't reliable. The lag from when you make a click to when the action registers is so insanely slow. Something that would be instant on a wired connection takes 10-45 seconds. The lag is just too much to be able to use this effectively. If you just wanted to cast and not do anything on the screen it might be ok, but did not work for what I needed.

Cheap but effective
It doesn’t turn its self off unless you can power it from the USB port on your tv or projector. I had to install a WiFi plug to turn it off when not in use or it looses connection after a day.
