Algae buildup (even Coralline) on the Intake of the Overflow Box can be troublesome. This version of our popular Cornerflo Cover is oversized to help shade the intake from the light, reducing the amount of Algae that can grow on and clog the intake. Read on as it shares the same features and benefits otherwise! The aquarium industry has a need for this type of product. If you have a reef-ready Marineland or Perfecto tank, or any tank with a corner overflow box (though this is designed specifically for Marineland/Perfecto) you have to have one of these. The idea is simple: Cover the overflow box! This reduces some noise from the overflow, yes however the best benefit of this cover is that it blocks light. It is a pain to get your arms into an overflow box or even a device to clean algae out of the hard to reach inside, so just stop it before it becomes an issue. This cover does sit loose, as there is not any side supports for the cover to sit on, just the front of the overflow (curved part). Installation is a snap. Simply put the cover on the box. Now, since the manufacturers don't have any ledge to sit the cover on, you can do this one of two ways. First way is, if you run your tank without tops, just sit this cover on the black trim. The other way is to put it right on the box, under the rim, but you do need one tiny dab of super glue on the overflow box itself to the lid, hold for about 30-45 seconds and it will stay in. You do not want to glue the whole thing down. Just a dab will do. And just like that, your box is covered. Reduce the noise, reduce the algae. Simple.
