If you want a device that works for just 24 hours, here's your model!
I hate giving low reviews but in this case it is unfortunately quite justified:The first thing I noticed about this was how freakin' small it is....if you can't keep up with an iPod you do NOT want to own THIS. I was not using this device to secretly record conversations so I was hoping it would be a bit bigger, ergo, easier to find. In my error I did not look at the dimensions coz I seriously had no idea it'd be that small. Next, it is cheap plastic...looks cheap, feels cheap...couldn't imagine it for lasting very long.Well, turns out I didn't have to worry about the longevity issue because it lasted exactly ONE DAY before it crapped out. Next day I tried to turn it on and it stayed on the screen with the hourglass icon. Tried recharging to no avail. Tried using the manual which, by the way, is an ABYSMAL excuse for an operating manual....I know it was made in China but couldn't they have ONE person who could translate properly??? With or without this horrid text it was confusing as heck trying to navigate the few, meager program offerings.Sound-wise it was actually clearer than I expected and would have probably done the job beautifully had it not totally fritzed in the first 24 hours.I was banking on being one of the many 5 star reviews for this recorder but sadly I will be one of the customers in the one star folder.Overall, I am quite dissatisfied with this device and am returning it forthwith.

Unusable. User interface is the culprit.
I should have asked for a refund on this item, but I waited too long before figuring out that it was unusable.The main culprit is that the user interface is confusing, indecipherable, and unresponsive. If they had a better user interface, one that actually worked when you selected a menu item, the recording aspect of this gadget might be okay. But I had no way to tell because I could never get it to work.

The worst thing is now when I attempt playback
I bought this recorder to record meetings. It was a mistake. The instructions are almost unintelligible. The worst thing is now when I attempt playback, I get a message "Format Error!" I didn't do anything but push the "REC" (record) button, then after the meeting concluded, push the "STOP button. When I push the "PLAY/PAUSE" button, there's the "FORMAT ERROR!" notice. So guess what, I don't have a recording of the meeting. I'm totally dissatisfied. Don't waste your money

Awful
Mine is nothing but cheap plastic with reality loud buttons and horrible recording. For recording,at highest quality, hardly could hear a presenter that was four feet away from me. DO NOT GET THIS FOR A CLASSROOM. It's barely good for dictation .

This is a good buy, BUT - it's much smaller than I thought it would be (it's really small). It records clearly. It is not as easy to use as one I had before, but once you get used to it, it is fine.

Works well but difficult to use
Once you figure out how to use it (the instructions are worthless), it works as expected. Since I don't use it daily, I have to figure it out all over again every time I want to record something.

is really light material, almost disposable, battery life is bad..don't last and quality of the recording is ok..no what I was expecting.
