These Wi-Fi Switches work well I added them to my Google Smart Home app by linking the Smart Life app to my Google account you will need a Natural line if installing in the UK as our layout only has the live line for the bulb you can mark and reuse the Earth as a neutral if re-wired correctly in the fixing and box but I wouldn't advice doing it if you don't know what you are doing.Also, keep an eye out for your backbox size if it's too shallow you may need to put a bigger one in or use a spacer.Wi-Fi performance is good but keep in mind what type of wall you place it in and what type of back box material you use as I find the brick metal back boxes can affect Wi-Fi performance.

I bought this to use with Alexa to turn on light in our garden pod. I had to get an electrician to wire it in as i could not manage it

This switch would not set up properly using the Smart Life App. You could switch it on and off but there was no feedback from the switch to the app so there was no way of telling if the switch was on or off. Alexa needed to receive two inputs to switch to get the relay to change state and the same issue, no feedback indicating its on or off status. The Tuya integration in Home Assistant had the same issue too and thought the switch was permanently on.The seller provided another switch to test but it had the exact same issues. I also note that the led backlighting the switch stays on regardless of the switch state. This is just a silly design, I would expect any such indicator to indicate the state of the switch. When I asked about this the seller said its on permanently to help people move around the room in the dark but frankly that's just ludicrous and sounds like an excuse, its nothing like bright enough to provide any such function.This is one of the worst switches I have ever encountered, hopeless for anything but local use and not at all suited to remote operation unless you can see the lights you are switching to confirm what state the switch is in. I cannot recommend this half smart switch.

I had to make a pattress/ plinth to use this with a 16mm deep plaster box but now that is all done it works well , connected to Alexa with no problems . Useful to switch on our “runway” lights on our dark driveway remotely

Easy internal installation for use with app for outside lights

The product looks great. A smooth glass like finish with a single touch button for manual control.Only advice I would give is to follow the APP MODE installation. Touch button to slow flash the blue light. Connect to the switch local network. Add device on smart life following the prompts.Once done, Set it up in Alexa.All is working fine.

Nice kit

When this switch works, it's great. But unfortunately, more often than not, it doesn't work. We bought this so that we could connect our outside lights to it, enabling us to turn them on before we get home and not have to turn them on before we even go out, wasting electricity. Nine times out of ten, I try to turn them on from the alexa app but get the message "device is unresponsive", which means having to go through the set up process all over again. I have multiple smart plugs from all different brands and don't have this issue with any of those
