This is an excellent product. It takes any stress of the transom of the boat when trailering, something the old style motor toters doesn't do. I won't own another boat without one of these.

Strong, sturdy, and reliable
Great alternative to the “old school” long transom saver. I like the ease of not having to get on the ground to latch/unlatch and you can store in the boat instead of bed of truck. Very solid and secure on my 200hp Johnson venom.

Poor quality and assembly. Welded together off center and uneven
Piece was built uneven and very off center. Motor had to set turned one way to use. Whomever assembled was drunk.

Looks like it gives that extra support I was looking for to save the strain on the hydraulics. My etec has a small transom saver built in but i did not feel comfortable that it would be enough for long hauls. I got this because i was trailering the boat 14 hours for a trip and this bought me a plot of piece of mind. I use it every time its on the trailer now.
