Dowl-it 2600

I have been using the smaller Dowl-it jig for years and see no reason that I won't continue to do so for many more but there have been times I would have liked to had its big brother. I find dowels to be a great way to reinforce joints and with these jigs I couldn't be happier.

I got this to build a coffee table with only doweled joints to support it. This model is awesome. I bought a cheap (not so cheap when they don't work at all!) one at a national tool chain that rhymes with arbor fright and was not rewarded with accuracy. It looks the same and, yet, does not deliver.This is the real deal, made in 'Murica, and worth every penny.

I would give this jig a 5 star if it came with 4 of each size inserts. If you are placing 4 dowels in one setting you have to unscrew the two sleeves and reposition them to the remaining two holes. Other than this the jig works fantastic and is of good quality.

Have owned an earlier version Dowl-it for a few years and thought I'd upgrade to the wider capacity and also being able to change and add additional screw in sizes. Product it heavy duty just as their other dowl-it's. Makes it very easy to make perfect dowls in almost anything.

Upgraded from a really cheap one. Very accurate and easy to use.

This works as advertised. I got the larger model because I can use it in a lot of woodworking projects. It was worth the money. Well built, sturdy piece of equipment.

The product that I received did not have a properly threaded center bolt. As a result, the jig often gets stuck at a certain point, and when the holes are drilled they are not properly centered on the piece, which is the whole point of the jig.

Very easy to use and very accurate. Wished I would have bought sooner.
