Still using an old iPhone 5, as I don't see enough pros for spending money to upgrade this phone, plus it works for what I need it for. Anyway, around about the time iOS 10 update happened, my phone decided to stop carrying it's charge and would barely last 24 hrs. I'm not sure if this was a coincedence, but anyway... so yeah.. 24 hrs is not too bad, right? Well, this was only if I actually didn't need to use it. If I had to make a call or text, then the battery was depleted in next to no time and would often just shut itself down. I had been putting off replacing it, mainly because I'm lazy and thought I'd just take it to a local store or something and get it fixed. I'm glad I didn't though.$14.99 and free delivery for this battery, thanks to Amazon Prime, and I couldn't be happier. It took about 20-30 mins to remove the old battery and install the new one. Pretty straight forward and simple procedure, however just make sure you have a container or something for the micro screws and a good light so you can see what you are doing. Powered it back up and tested it to make sure it was all good, and then gave it it's first charge. Battery is still at 100% the next morning, and even with heavy use, it's draining very slowly. So 5 stars for this battery from PowerBear. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone needing a replacement for their old iPhone 5.

I bought the battery thinking about the 2 years warranty, that can help to pay the investment.Shipment arrived earlier than expected, that helped me to test the battery during the weekend.Battery had the red wrapping foil inverted when compared with the original battery. This means, the first impression is the wrong battery, with connector on the upper right side. I flipped 180 degrees, and connector allowing the connector to be on bottom right side. Face of the battery will be the back, after installing (if you get the same battery than us).Tools were OK. Only commend, screwdrivers do not have magnetized bids. I used screw driver I bought for iphone 4S, to facilitate this work.I change the battery, and it is working properly, holding the charge for several hours (much more than the 3 year old battery in our iphone 5).In order to get the warranty, you need to register your purchase

All tools needed were included and the battery worked great, once installed. Fixing my phone myself for such a great price was very helpful (a local computer repair shop wanted 65.00). The only reason for giving only 4 stars was due to the poor instructions. The instructions came via email, not with the battery and tools. The last 2 pictures did not show up properly in the email. The instructions are correct, but they are difficult to follow. Fortunately, there are several great videos available on-line that show the process perfectly (though not through the battery company themselves). Between the videos and the kit, I was able to do the job myself.

The battery and tool set and delivery are fine - the instruction included with the battery are printed so small you need a magnifying glass to read them, The instructions also include a step to remove the top of the phone from the back. Most professionals do not remove the top when replacing just the battery. Removing the top is probably suggested so you do not break the ribbon cable connecting the top to the base or break the glass. If you remove the top then be aware that one of the tiny tiny screws protecting the ribbon plugs is non magnetic making it nearly impossible to get it back in. Keep track of the non-magnetic screw and put back in the same place. If you replace it with a magnetic screw it may mess up the compass. I will not remove the top next time i change the battery.

Micro tools, cool. (tools included).Screws are smaller than on a pair of glasses. I didn’t even know that there were screws there.Hex, torx I have but never used a Pentalobe Screwdriver. You need good eyes for this operation. Instructions are very good.Removing the screen is tough, be careful, I found that guitar picks (thick ones) can help in this, easy does it. Same with the battery, pry it up slowly.New battery came up with 65% charge ran it till it was less than 10% then charged, it lasted longer than the old one (day one)…I service equipment but not this small, it was a fun project.Look online to see what they charge to replace a cell phone battery. If you have the ability and understand the instructions, go for it.

They do take a bit of skill to replace. You can follow their instructions or others online. The hardest part is always getting the old battery unstuck from the back of the phone. I actually ended up twisting or puncturing it this time and burned the crap out of a spot on my finger! Be very careful with that part! We tossed the battery out on the sidewalk where it was raining because it had gotten very hot as well! (but super hot in one tiny spot where it burned me)I think this battery seems to be good quality though. The tools are decent to nice. Though the blue pry tools always break the tips off so that's not a great tool.

USE EITHER THE OLD ADHESIVE OR PEEL IT OFF CAREFULLY AND APPLY THE NEW ADHESIVE SUPPLIED WITH POWERBEAR.So, if the quality of the battery is anything like the quality of the packaging it came in, I have high hopes for this product. Comprehensive but easy step by step instructions (warning- you need a sturdy hand that can apply measured force. If you're a klutz, get somebody else to swap the batteries for you, preferably your kids).Don't forget to charge the battery fully, then let the battery run dead, then charge it fully for 3 times so you get the maximum life out of the battery.

This is just what I needed to renew my iPhone 5 back to full service.I chose this item as it had the best reviews and although I had a choice of buying with or without tools I decided to buy with tools as many reviews of others tools weren't good. The tools that came with this kit were of a good quality and did the job just great,The instructions were also quite good but I had watched a number of videos on YouTube, which showed exactly how to change the battery.It was a bit fiddly and some of the parts (screws) are very very small but the special screwdriver, that was in the kit, was magnetic and held on to the screws.My iPhone 5 is now working at full capacity and I would recommend this kit if your need a new battery for your iPhone 5.

The kit is all that is needed to replace the battery and the explanatory documentation is easy to follow although having also watched a uTube video of the procedure I would probably try and leave the screen connected (but well supported) next time as it took me longer to refit the 2 screen connectors than to carry out the replacement. The original battery is also very well stuck down and took considerable moving - the included Doc suggests prying from the side and to be careful of other delicate components but I found prizing out from the bottom much easier and there is nothing actually under the battery to damage - take care with the small cable that runs next to the battery as it would porbably be possible to distort/damage this if it caught on the battery during this operation. The tools appear to be good quality and the battery has reinvigorated my son's iPhone 5 although it is still early days. I am happy to recommend this product.

Quite impressed with the battery, although as a lot of customers mentioned, it's still a bit early to judge it's quality. Other than that, the tools are in great condition. The only gripe I have is the manual's instructions, that were slightly incorrect. I'll mention them here:1. Adhesive included in the package(for sticking the battery to the phone), which needed to be stuck differently according to the manual's photo.2. There's a bit of a contradiction in the instructions for calibrating the battery, where the first warning says, "DO NOT DRAIN THE BATTERY", and the very next instruction says," Step 1: Drain the battery". I just googled how to calibrate an iphone battery to get around this issue.Other than that, it's worth it for the price.

Brilliant! - the toolkit worked flawlessly, the instructions were clear and concise and the battery is working the phone just fine. It did take me two goes to get the connections re-seated properly and the phone powered up again, but hey, this is my first time inside a cellphone so a bit of a voyage of discovery. Very happy with this purchase.

Works perfectly. Good price. Tools all excellent, and instructions very clear (though in retrospect, I think it may have been possible to fully change the battery without removing the screen connectors). Worth watching some how-to videos online before you start just to get a clearer feel for what you're doing.

Replaced my battery yesterday and it seems to work fine so far, it's lasted 12hrs with moderate use. Time will tell how much charge it will hold in the future but for this price it's worth it. All the tools do the job well although getting the screen off can be tricky. Just be patient and you'll get there.

Should have bought this product earlier it solved my phone problem was easy to fit and very reasonable priced, only reservations are that I found the calibration instructions confusing but a mail to the company soon cleared that up
