Great for what it is. Takes getting used to
I've always had issues with acid reflux from my coffee and decided to finally deal with them. Unfortunately low acid coffee usually costs a fortune. This was the most economical that I found on Amazon so I went for it.Over the years I've stuck to bold and dark coffees to manage my acid response - always with mixed results. At first this coffee gave me a slight acid response but after having it for about a month I don't feel any acidity except in times of high stress where it's mild. This means as a low acid coffee that it does what it is supposed to do.However, the flavor is much milder than I am accustomed to. At first I was ready to reject this coffee because I was hoping for something more assertive. But after about a month I'm good with it. The coffee really has no bitterness and makes a smooth cup. It's dark like I usually prefer but not bold or complex. Still it's a pretty good cup.I can definitely recommend this for anyone with similar issues to mine and who may be willing to try not the strongest coffee but a good one that should make life with GERD more manageable.

Best Taste + Caffeine Level | The Real Meep Meep Juice
We have been drinking Puroast Bourbon Pecan for years. We got hooked on it when living in Miami. It was walking distance to our place. We always purchased bags of coffee from their flagship to give as gifts. The taste is incredible and the caffeine buzz is even better. We call it our "meep meep juice." That being said, I would not drink this in the evening unless you need a serious boost. It is our favorite coffee and the only coffee we drink. As someone who struggles with acidity, this product is a godsend. The pH level of over 5.5 makes it incredibly gentle on the stomach, yet it doesn't compromise on the rich, robust flavor. The medium roast strikes the perfect balance between bold and smooth. What genuinely sets this coffee apart is the exquisite hint of bourbon pecan. It's not overpowering but adds a delightful twist that elevates the coffee experience. Not only does this coffee taste amazing, but it also boasts higher antioxidant levels, contributing to overall health benefits. Every sip feels smooth and luxurious, without any bitterness or harsh aftertaste.Puroast Low Acid Coffee is a must-try for coffee lovers, especially those seeking a stomach-friendly option. Even if you are not a coffee drinker, I highly recommend!

Coffee is great - Packaging/delivery getting iffy
I've been buying this product for a while and love it. However, the delivery packaging the last two times was just a bag, and the coffee containers were beaten up. Today, there was coffee that had come out of the containers and was loose in the bag. If this continues, I'll have to seen an alternative.

This coffee is inconsistent
I'm not sure what has changed or if I've just become more aware due to having another brand of coffee Side by side. This coffee stinks and has a really terrible taste. Last couple time I ordered there was a sticker stuck over the flavor and it was changing it to another flavor. Not sure if they just ran out of bags or if they just decided to lie about which flavor I was getting. It tastes bad has an awful smell and an incorrect label on the package. This leads me to believe that I'm not even drinking low acid coffee. I used to buy this coffee all the time because the price was pretty decent I started buying the Lucy Joe's mellow belly and even though it costs a few more dollars the coffee is by far better tasting and smelling. I will never buy this coffee again. Something has definitely changed. Either that or the side by side just doesn't compare with other coffees.

Low Acid - Smooth Taste - HUGE bag
I have mild acid reflux, but LOVE to drink coffee. The coffee at the office is not only awful tasting but also high acidity and bothers the stomach. I can purchase Starbucks downstairs for a great cup of coffee (still acidic) but I might as well throw away $500/year.I decided it was time to put my foot down so I purchased a "Melitta Ready Set Jo Filter Cone" and "Melitta #2 Filters" so that I could brew a single cup of coffee and forget the office coffee and Starbucks.Since I had to purchase my own coffee anyways, I decided low acid would be best. I've tried a few brands, and this gets 5 stars as it is as close to a real cup as possible. You must understand that low acid coffees will never give you the same rich bold taste of a regular cup of coffee. Part of the taste of coffee comes from the acid, so if you remove some of the acid you also remove some of the flavor. That being said, this make a pretty smooth cup of coffee but doesn't have the bold flavor and taste of regular coffee. To try to bolden it up, I mix about 2tbsp grounds in 8oz hot water for about 30 seconds and then pour the hot water/coffee ground mix over the Melitta Cone Filter. This extra steeping time boldens the taste and coffeine levels without the price and hassle of a french pressRemember, this bag is 2.5lbs, so it's HUGE. The picture can be misleading because it has similar dimensions as a regular bag of coffee, but is MUCH bigger. About the size of regular milk carton - so a good value. I've figured with the grounds and filters I'm looking at about $.10/cup as opposed to $1-2 at starbucks and DEATH from the free office coffee. This is 50% less acid so not a cure-all, but is generally gentler on the stomach. Overall, I give it five stars for being a solid low Acid Coffee.

Not My Favorite
Recently decided if I want to continue drinking coffee (I do) I need to go low acid. I ordered several low acid coffees from several different roasters. The Puroast is my least favorite. It is the least expensive, but does not have a great fragrance and is somewhat bitter. There are others that suit my tastes much better. I will not order again.

Tasty, Rich Cup of Joe
As a fan of Starbucks, I have always loved rich, bold coffee. However, I now have gastritis and my stomach has issues with high acid foods. After care review of the varieties of low acid coffee on the market, I ordered a bag of this variety and brand. I made my first pot and am pretty impressed. The flavor is rich and bold, better than Starbucks. It is a bit pricey since I usually buy coffee on sale, however, if it works and I can continue to enjoy coffee, it will be worth the cost!

Solved my mouth ulcer problem
I have suffered from mouth ulcers for decades now and in the last 5 years it became apparent that the primary instigator was coffee. I effectively gave up coffee about 4.5 years ago. Every now and then I would have a cup and inevitably I would have a mouth ulcer within a day or two. I started to use Puroast about 3 months ago and hey presto, no mouth ulcers. I am not a doctor or allergist so I am not qualified to say why this happened. All I know is that it does not cause a flare up. Btw it tastes great as well. A friend who suffers in a similar way is going to start using Puroast so it will be interesting to see how that goes!
