Moen DN9830CH Collection Inspirations 30-Inch -Towel Bar, 24, Chrome

These are great replacements for less than long enough towel bars. These 2 are installed in my summer place using repurposed bracket ends. They’re 30” long, sturdy, seamless and can be cut to any length.I’d use them again if needed. 👍

Needed longer towel racks when redoing a bathroom. The price was absolutely right for installation on standard towel rack set. No big deal to trim down to the size needed. I used a pipe cutter in order to make a clean cut. Could have used a hack saw, but worried about scratching the finish when securing bar while cutting.

I had to modify by cutting one of the two bars to fit my 2-towel fixture, but it was simple and only required a hacksaw. I can now completely unfurl my damp towels on the bar and they dry SO MUCH faster with the long bars! Definitely worth the money and the minimal effort. FYI, I had to modify my 30" template from the original fixture to make sure the fit on the wall was correct, and it only takes a little patience and 'measure thrice, cut once'. Twice on the bar before cutting it, and once on the template to make sure you don't mount the ends too close together. Very much worth doing!

Exactly what I needed at a great price. Was hoping it would be slightly sturdier but it is sturdy enough. Arrived with small black specs all over it but these came off with light buffing. Chrome has slightly less lustre than some of my other bathroom fixtures. Overall satisfactory.

I bought the 24 inch Moen Banbury towel bar set in brushed nickel at a big box retailer, but wanted a longer actual towel bar. I ordered this bar (5/8" diameter) on Amazon, and it is perfect. The brushed nickel finish is exactly the same finish as the brushed nickel finish on the end pieces that came with the original Banbury towel bar set. The original bar in the package is only 21 1/2 inches long, so that the entire original unit is 24 inches long. With this 30 inch bar, the entire unit with the end pieces is almost 34 inches long. After inserting the towel bar into the end pieces, I have 29 inches of towel bar, and can stretch a large bath towel over it without folding it over. Once the towel is dry, I can fold a bath towel over (in half), hang it over the towel bar, and then hang an identical second folded towel over the bar with an inch or two to spare. That makes for a very nice visual if you have nice towels.Be aware, however, that the 30 inch towel bar does not come with a template for a 30 inch towel bar and end pieces. The 24 or 18 inch end piece and towel bar sets come with a template to help you hang those bar sets correctly. You will need to be handy, and have a good level (preferably 24 inches long) and a steady hand, in order to install the second bracket at the far end of the towel bar set using no template. Once I got it installed, the bar is tight in the towel bar end piece, and looks great.

Amazon has since changed the description of this item, but when I bought in in February, it had "Inspirations" in the title. It also says "Inspirations" on the label on the bar. So you think, if I bought an "Inspirations" towel bar, that this 30-inch bar would swap in with no problems, right? Oh, no, the "Inspirations" towel bar has a 3/4" rod. This rod is 5/8". It doesn't fit. Unfortunately, our bathroom wasn't finished and ready to mount the hardware yet so I didn't discover the difference and missed the 30-day return period. SO, be very careful before you order this rod that it is the right size for your mounting posts. Not all the listings for Moen towel bars say the size of the rod. Also, I don't understand why they just don't sell the 30" bar with mounting posts so I didn't have to actually buy 18" towel bar to use the 30" bar. For that matter, Why don't they just make towel bars in 16" and 32" so they fit between studs and you can mount them to wood instead of just drywall? BTW, I found the correct 3/4" rod at a different website, the model # is DN9430BN.As to the rod itself, I really like the idea of being able to get a 30" towel bar, we like the larger towels and being able to hang them in a single thickness so they dry thoroughly. The Moen hardware is good quality and they look very nice in our bathrooms.

Love all of my Moen products in both of my home's bathrooms. This is the third house I've placed Moen brushed nickel fixtures in. I REALLY wish that you sold "Sage" 30 inch double towel bars sets!!! My picky husband prefers to use XL bath sheets. You cannot stretch them out fully on the standard 24 inch long towel bars, in order to have them dry faster and more completely. I ended up buying another set of Moen Sage double 24 inch towel bars AND inserting the two 30 inch towel bars (purchased seperately) to make what I wanted. Thankful there was a work around, albeit a more expensive one. Excellent quality as usual, Moen. Thank you. Would highly recommend. Rated 5 stars in all categories!

We originally bought the 24" moen towel bar but wanted the longer bar for bath sheets I could not find a complete set so we ordered just the bars and replaced the 24" with the 30" bars. Perfect switch!

I needed the 30” towel bar so I could use the studs to support it. My 24” was used as a chin-up by grandchildren and did not support the weight!!

Fits into my adhesive clip in holder as my wall has no studs there.I just purchased ends for it which fit nicely. Low cost DIY job.
