CapezioLeather Pirouette II Dance Shoe
C**E
Size XS for child size 1
These are great shoes, very very comfy for my girls. In case anyone is wondering, as I did, the size X-small fits my young girls perfectly. One wears 13/1 & the other wears 1-2 in regular shoes. These foot like second skin, no shifting & nothing poking their feet. We tried another brand here on Amazon first, just a bit darker in color, I think they were about $17. (If you've searched for pirrouette shoes here then you know what I'm talking about) It wasn't worth it to get those cheaper shoes... the part to adjust the size goes right into the size/bottom of the foot and drove my girls crazy. The leather was a bit thicker, probably better for longevity than these, but harder to "break in". These had zero break-in/adjustment time; no sores or places rubbed 'raw. Comfy on day 1, and used for both practice and performances on many different surfaces. I bought these last on Nov 8, back for re-order today (Feb 27) due to toe holes. That may seem soon, but these girls dance approx 3 days a week for sometimes 4 hour stretches of time. Worth every penny for happy, healthy feet. ;)

Great shoes, but order up a size!
My daughter uses these for dance and she loves them, but order up a size! She usually wears a size 7 shoe, so we got her the "6-7.5 shoe size" and they were WAY to small. Order up a size and you will be just fine! The quality is great and the straps that wrap around the ankle have a little gummy strip along them to help avoid them slipping off. As you get warmed up and start to sweat and the elastic stretches, that is a handy little addition that I hadn't thought to look for! These will be the only brand of these that we order from now on! Love them!

Hope they nvr stop making!
My daughter has been wearing the Capezio Pirouettes for yrs. now. And now she only wears one, on her turning foot. She wears a womens size 5-5.5 shoe now & since wearing a size 4 in girls, she has preferred the Lg. She has a little bit of a wide foot. However, I am a womens 8.5-9 & I could put the M size on. I tried to show her once that she could still wear the M, but she prefers the Lg. Hate to be confusing, but if your child is in a girls size 4 to womens size 9, the Lg’s will fit just fine. I made the mistake & bought the XL yrs ago, thinking they were child sizes & they are huge! Size 9+ adult! So again, these are the adult shoes, but children to adults do wear this model. HTH!

Marked and marred Leather on 1st dress
These are by far the worst quality we have purchased for dance shoes. Capezio should be checking their quality control because the last pair we owned were Blochs and after almost 3 years of use still do not look like the new ones we purchased here on Amazon in the Capezio brand. These shoes were supposed to be for competition and my daughter needed to wear them for break-in during their 1st dress. After one hour, they were completely worn around the tip,and tops of the toes. The leather must only be a paint on because if it were a quality leather shoe, it would not have “rubbed” off as it did. Now we get to try and purchase a new pair, and hope they are a better quality. Maybe I need to just go back to Bloch and hope her dance director doesn’t notice that we didn’t get Capezio as she told us to.

Started tearing after 30 minutes
Everything was great until I looked down after half an hour of use. The leather had peeled off at the tip of my big toe, and was clearly going to become a hole. I flipped the shoe inside out, and saw that the leather was stripped too thin in several places. The suede had been peeled off too close to the top grain, and all I had was top grain here and there. I'm a 7B in street shoes, got a Medium, and they were a perfect just-right snugness for a golden 30 minutes. I only used the long strap over the achilles tendon, which fit perfectly and had not shoved my toes forward too much. So disappointing.

Color faded after 1st wear
We have purchased these shoes several times but never had a pair wear out like these. After my daughter's first use of them, they started to fade in color. Not happy about this at all. She had her last pair for a year until she put a hole in the toe but it never faded color like this. Very disappointing. I bought these shoes specifically for my daughter's national dance competition and she ended up having to borrow another dancers shoes because these looked so bad. Complete waste of money.

Run on the small side---Size up
Got these for my daughters' lyrical competition in an extra-small. They arrived very quickly which was fantastic. My daughter wears between a 1.5-2 in shoes (she's 9) and has the size extra small from Block...Although I know Capezio runs small, I ordered her an extra small anyway. After two wears she has almost put holes in them. Those shoes pictured have less than one hour total of dancing, and I am hoping pair two last longer.

Followed directions and Too Small. Period.
Had to return. Return was easy at kohls and ups store tho. My daughter also didn't like the color as much but we new that going in and took it for the low price. Price increased tho when i tried to reorder so we are getting a different brand. We measured 9 inches on the foot drawing as directed. But her toenail was cutting through and would've been sore by the end of class. All 4 shoes we ordered (different brands)for her were size6 and 3 were returned for too tight. Tanjazz, black jazz and half soles. The ballet slippers were returned for 2 sizes too big. I've ordered 6.5 now,and 5.5 in ballets, but not sure of i even should've gone with 7. Shes a tall 11 yr old. This same thing happened last yr with a pair of black jazz shoes that i still haven't been able to resale but i was convinced by my daughter and a review that said they are sposed to be tight...Yea but not that tight! Error on the side of they run small esp for jazz shoes and this brand half sole.

Awful durability! Ripped and scuffed in 4 total uses!
Absolutely disgraced with the quality of this product.I rarely have time to write reviews and have never been so absolutely shocked with a product as I have this one.Baring in mind I have been a dancer for 20 years,And in my adult life have constantly heard the name capezio used in the dance industry, I may have even had a leotard by this brand over my time. However I used these a total of 4 times!!& on the fourth time whilst in my ballet studio my toe went through the front... the picture on the right was the scuffs after the 1st time! For a product that feels as if it is made of leather and SHOULD be durable, at that price it is disgraceful!!!!Amazon should take down this product and discontinue allowing it to sell, there are cheaper ones than these, and for that price and brand name I expected durability.

Perfect little dance shoes
Daughters contemporary dance tutor recommended these. She’s 14 and preparing to put on a show. They are fantastic! She loves them. Very reasonably priced and speedy delivery.

Good value
Not sure if these are authentic Capezio, but it doesn't matter as they are very well made and my daughter thinks they are great.
