Good quality crafting or trying out paints!
They work best over a freshly gesso'd canvas. If you try to work with them on a freshly unwrapped canvas you might have sticking problems. So the paint will sort of pull away from the canvas and smear uglyly instead of spreading like how you would want a paint to behave. If you have this problem or you had this problem please try again. Paint your canvas with a flat acrylic paint color. Buy like $1 bottle of white or black craft paint from the store (apple barrel or craft smart or similar) and do a coat on the whole canvas. Let it dry. Then try your paints. If you are still having trouble be sure you are thinning your paints with a bit of water as you use them. They will spread and blend better that way. I personally follow the art Sherpa on YouTube. She has taught me a lot about paint and brushes and things.Over all I'm happy with these paints. I've used them for most little projects for the past two years. I painted a pumpkin, some art, and some cookies with them. Overall I'm super satisfied. The only problem is that after a while the lids started breaking. The little center poker part snaps out. So some of them have dried up and had to be thrown away now. If you buy these for the kids to use or to use for one specific project this is less of a problem. I've had them for two years and I have big giant hands so I screw the lids on too tight all the time lol.EDIT: Let me just add this on here as this review has gotten quite a lot of attention. Acrylic paints are like liquid plastic. They will never ever come out of fabrics or other porous surfaces. If you give these to children don't be upset about their clothes. It will wash off with just soap and water for hair, skin, brushes, and old plates or whatever you want to use for a pallet. Don't use food things for paint. Paint is not at all meant to be eaten. Just had a bad time at a kids birthday party because parents didn't realize the paint wouldn't come out of clothes. So smocks, or paint clothes, or diapers, or whatever you decide is best for your situation. But not your nice birthday party Sunday clothes please! Good luck out there! Have fun!

Read this if you don’t want to spend time reading loads of reviews
The summary: A very good set for starting out, if you are new to acrylics get it and buy a large tube of white acrylic paint separately in any brand (Liquitex Basics 8.45 oz Titanium White is a good one for beginners). If you’re an advanced artist who already invested in a collection of acrylic paints, this can be a nice complement for some small tubes of color in a good range...without having to buy individual colors from more expensive brands. The details:Great color range in 0.4 oz tubes. The colors are:BlackWhiteGrayPerm blue violetCobalt blueUltramarinePhthalo blueCerulean blueViridian (dark green)Emerald greenGreen paleLemon yellowNaples yellowOrangeRoseVermillionCrimson redFluorescent peach redCarmineBurnt siennaRaw siennaGold ochreYellow ochreRaw umberThe consistency is close to a soft body, which is between a heavy body (thick, makes peaks when you lift the brush, good for textured look) and fluid acrylic paint. These are not too sheer, the coverage is decent. You might think the tubes are small but they go a long way starting out. Grab a mixed media or acrylic pad and start experimenting. I use Canson mixed media 9 by 12 spiral pad. Just jump in. Find a tutorial you like on YouTube and try to follow it. You’ll figure out your style as you go along...maybe you’ll realize you would prefer heavy body, or more vibrant neon colors, or find it too thick and can delve into the world of acrylic mediums and acrylic inks, etc. Then you can start investing in the pricier stuff. Basically, this is an EXCELLENT, reasonably priced set (at least at the time I purchased it) for starting out. Are they professional quality? No. Are they such poor quality that it would taint your experience as a newbie trying out acrylics? Not at all. Just get them and enjoy!

Excellent paints, I recommend them highly
Excellent paints, I recommend them highly. Smooth, opaque and in a perfect array of colours. As an artist, I can say if you're looking for top grade paints, these aren't it, but they are perfect for semi-professionals, students, beginners hobbyists and more. Even the three brushes it comes with are brilliant. I expected to just not use them but they are fantastic, one especially is my new favourite! I love that they're from a small business and communication and satisfaction from the company is excellent. It arrived in a day which was extremely helpful. To top it all, you're never going to get a set as good as this for a better price. So worth the money.

So Beautifully Presented!!!
I love everything about this product, it I good value for money and comes with some brushes to get you started which is an added bonus, I just have to get a a few more now. I am disabled and get out much due to lack of movement in legs, my hands have problems too so I have found using these paints great as I paint slowly my stones and shells and make them happy into little animals, which my friend sells in her shop, or I just give as presents. Thank you for giving me hope!!!!Kindest RegardsMaria-Mercedes x

Affordable and very pigmented
I read a lot of reviews for this acrylic paint set before I purchased it. Of course you are sceptical at first, but trust me in that: if you are looking for an affordable and very pigmented acrylic paint set... this is it.I used the acrylic paint on the primed canvas (basically just put some thin layer of cheaper acrylic paint on it) and let it dry. After I covered the whole canvas with acrylic matte charcoal black paint, I started to use my purchased set.I was amazed how pigmented and vibrant these colours were. Very easy to use and they were blending in nicely without effort. Also mixing them together was no problem. Using them with fingers was no problem too.The paint was drying fast, so you need to be quick. I prefer fast drying acrylic paint and I really recommend trying this set out. If you are a beginner or professional or like me: advanced and you create art in your free time, this was brilliant. I definitely will stick to this acrylic paint set.The set comes with brushes and they are good too. I used detail brushes for my painting and the brushes that came with this set along with thicker brushes of course.Be inspired by this acrylic paint set, like I was.

Such good value
These acrylics are such good value for money. I’ve done a bit of watercolour painting but never used acrylics before. I wanted to try pebble painting with my grandchildren and these seemed to be a perfect solution - and they are. In fact I’ve got so addicted to this craft that I don’t let the little one loose on these paints- I save them for myself. They are excellent and I’ve already got another set in my basket because I’ll need them soon.

Gorgeous!!
As I'm a total novice with painting, let alone Rock Art, I didn't know what to expect when I ordered these paints. All I can say is that my son said "Wow! " when he saw the colors appear on my rocks. They are vivid, bright and so easy to use. The tubes are tiny, but because the colors are so dense you only need a small amount. I truly couldn't be happier. Thoroughly recommended!!
