Very handy and user friendly. Bought them a week ago. It definitely helps as a supporting base for washing machine. I initially ordered one set without checking the actual dimensions. Since the height is less than an inch, had to order one more set to get more ground clearance. Now we can easily clean the surface area under the washing machine with broom. If you wish to use this for was washing machine and wants to clean underneath the washing machine, you should opt for 2 sets for optimal ground clearance. This will definitely act as base support to protect furniture and washing machine and also helps skidding of washing machine and avoids scratches on floor. I doubt these will be suitable for refregerators, as backside legs of refregerator are quite wide and won't fit into this. This is just an opinion as I have not tried it. This will also helps you to stop movement of washing machine when they are running. However if your washing machine dances, these kind of base support won't help. You need to adjust the base support screws depending upon ground level
