Had a Wolfbox DO7 for over 2 years on both of my vehicles and they work great. It has an easy installation process and the camera offers great 4K Quality. Recently, my camera started to glitch out so I contacted customer support. They gave my troubleshooting instructions but didn’t work. They gave me a replacement camera without any extra cost and arrived within a week of contacting them.

I did a google search for highest rated dash cams and this Wolfbox unit came up near the top of the ratings. I was in the market to replace my current unit that only recorded forward, and this one records both front and rear video in at least 1080p. The front camera can record up to 4k.Installation is simple, but comes with a few extras that may initially confuse you, but end up being rather thoughtful. Firstly, it’s helpful to know or map out exactly how and where you install this unit before you do it. And this is because you must first install a transparent film layer on your glass where the actual units will ultimately stick to. This film allows you to relatively easily remove the device should it need to be relocated or removed. The film is there so the 3M adhesive does NOT stick directly to the car glass and create a situation where you may damage your glass upon removal. Unfortunately the kit only includes 2 films, but they are approx 2”x3” wide so definitely big enough to provide some mounting flexibility. I was concerned the film would show so I ended up cutting them in half, but in retrospect, I really didn’t need to as they apply and stick fully transparent.Knowing how you will route the cables ahead of time will be of great help, because the rear camera connects on the left side of the unit, opposite of main power and may present some mounting options issues. I decided to mount mine directly behind my rear view mirror, in the same location as my original unit. Because I had the unit on the underside of the shaded glass area, I was initially concerned that it would inhibit the GPS function. It did not. However, the unit can take up to 2.5 mins to acquire a GPS signal, and from there all tracking info including speed, date and coordinate location is automatic.Keep in mind that the rear camera cable is exceedingly long and according to the instruction manual, it is meant to be routed on the outside of your vehicle above the license plate. I instead opted to mount the unit on the inside center of my rear window and had to try to deal with all the extra cable. The field of view of the rear camera is very wide and even from the inside, it covers the entire width of the rear window. Mounting the unit inside protects the camera, but be sure to keep your rear glass relatively clean so dirt and water spots don’t interfere with the clarity of the video.The rear camera records in 1080p with the front up to 4K. Camera settings allow you to choose a preferred combination of resolutions. I decided to keep both at 1080p for simplicity and to keep file sizes smaller that will allow more recordings kept on my SD card. I did notice tho that even though you can choose recording loops of 1, 3, or 5 minutes, if you have a video that gets interrupted before the total time, eg you turn off the car before the full 3 mins is recorded, that video is NOT saved. This may be a very bad thing. I’ll need to test a bit more to confirm. I also noticed a long period where the although the camera was on, it did not record any video for weeks. I didn't catch that until I went to review my videos. I don't think it was an issue with the camera rather more of an operator issue, as it is functioning normally now.Otherwise, I love that the front camera connects to the mount separately to make it easier to remove for maintenance. It turns on and off automatically with my vehicle, and recording starts immediately when the unit is powered on. The camera options are simple and easily accessed thru 3 buttons and the power button which doubles as your select button.Overall, I’m extremely happy with the performance of this camera both front and rear. Video quality is outstanding in both day and nights, however I either play my music way too loud or the microphone is too sensitive as my audio seems like it’s blowing out the mic’s capability to record cleanly. However, the audio was initially very clear, and I may have done something to affect its quality while playing with the settings. The display can show either front or rear or both, and will automatically go dark after 2.5 mins to keep distractions to a minimum.I contacted the manufacturer to obtain additional 3M mounting tapes for both the front and rear camera, and because they said they don't sell those separately, they sent them to me for FREE! The first shipment was damaged and I received only the front stickers, so they sent me another shipment containing the rear stickers AGAIN! Such awesome and responsive service!It's easier to view your videos by removing the micro SD card and connecting it to a computer. However, there is also an app that you can download, and although it works fairly well, downloading the video on the ad-hoc wifi network the camera creates can be slow and tedious.I highly recommend this camera for its ease of use out of the box, outstanding recording quality and flexible resolution options, and above all, affordable price.

Install was pretty straight forward. I put it in my 2017 Odyssey. After a year it died. One camera wouldn't work. Communication was ok, through WhatsApp . They replaced the faulty camera unit. Now another year later, almost to the day it has stopped working again. I hope they replace it. Waiting on customer service to respond. Definately don't recommend this product.

***update 11/2022*** haven't had this a year and the charger completely fell apart in my car. I have never removed the charger from my car because it doesn't work anywhere else, it literally just fell apart. This camera does not work if it is not plugged in so I have nothing now. I would not recommend.I had a hard time figuring out how to use the camera as the instructions were really vague, but once I did things were better. It gets the job done but I am concerned about how hot it gets. This thing gets so hot it has been hard to touch and I think that will definitely cause some issues down the line. Also, I dont like that I can't charge it outside my car. As soon as I remove it from the gps it turns off because there is no charge, I wonder if that has something to do with it getting so hot but who knows. Keep in mind this camera only works in the vehicle while connected to the gps, and the app only works if you are near the phone and the only plug for this is a cigarette charging device so you literally are tied to the car for this to work.The videos do not automatically download, I say that because if you are in a serious accident where you may have injuries and can't manage to download the videos to your phone before going to the hospital or take the whole thing apart, then likely your car will be towed and you will not have access to anything. For the record, the quality of the camera is great.Update... 6/9/22I am updating the rating because customer service did contact me and answer some of the questions I had and were very responsive.

I bought this camera and it's very good. It recorded a car accident I had and it worked well. Unfortunately, the sun burned the lens but I bought another one just like this. The resolution is very good. It records audio. It has GPS. It has everything you need. It also has a front camera and another one for the back of the car.

First purchased April 2022, wanted a dashcam that would do front and rear recording while parked, at a reasonable price. Certainly fit the bill, even though I knew I'd need to provide my own SD card. Got it, looked great, installed it, worked great.... while the ignition was on. Didn't work in parking mode, had to order the hardwire kit. Unfortunately, the hard wire kit didn't include the rear camera connection, wtf? Made contact with them, they happily sent me the "updated" hard wire kit, no charge, kudos! Worked fantastic since about a month ago, only issues I had were the WiFi (android, absolutely useless), and figuring out the time settings (DST). If you need to review, your choices are the itty bitty screen, or install a file converter and watch on a PC. Last month it started randomly cycling boot up while driving, then finally it would never fully power up (constant reboot). Swapping a new SD card seemed to do the trick, for about a week. Then the rebooting started again, another SD card later, and it didn't make it one day. Tried swapping out with the original lighter socket cord, no joy, ran out of SD cards, don't need any more (BTW, SD cards are still functional in my other equipment). Won't replace with this brand, I'll try my luck with another, my odds are probably better in Vegas.
