Would these be good for field work during the summer in the hot and humid south?

I currently wear these around the construction site where I work (Outdoor temperatures are around 90 so far), inside ankle high steel toe boots. They are comfortable for me throughout the day, but Im indoors most of the day and outside once in awhile. I would purchase again as they feel cushioned, but are not overly thick and still offer some breathability.

Do these sock have stringy things in them? I've bought socks before that toenails catch on fr strings inside.

There are no inside strings inside this sock that will catch toe nails.

I wear a size 6 shoe. The socks are about 2 plus inches past my toe...way too big. Do they shrink or do i send them back. I ordered size 6-9.

I bought my mom the size 4-6 she says they fit perfectly. She wears a size 6 shoe

How high are they on calf

I bought size 9 to 12 since I take a size 9.5 to 10 shoe. That's perfectly in the foot but the height goes to the knee
