I ordered this for our 95 pound Black Lab / Border Collie mix who has a tendency to bite - especially strangers. Product came within days of ordering. The product appears to be very well made and made with good materials. No instructions were included, but it's fairly simple to figure out. I used the sellers "sizing guide" and got an Extra Large, since our dog is the size of a small horse. Upon fitting it on the dog, it appears too loose. I've got the straps cinched up to the last hole on the straps and buckles, but it slides up and down his nose more than I thought it should. The "collar loop" is a must to keep it on the dog. The dog hates it, as expected, but it does it's job. He and I went for a walk around the neighborhood earlier this week and he seems actually embarrassed to go out in it. He'll get over it. Probably could have went with a Large instead of an Extra large.

I love this muzzle!!!! I have a 5 yr. old Chow Chow and he's hard to fit with a muzzle. I ordered three different sizes (M, L, XL) to make sure I got the right size for him. The large one is perfect. Normally he'll get a mesh or nylon muzzle off quickly but he can't get this one off at all. I only use it on him when he goes to the vet for his check-ups because he doesn't play well with non-family members plus he gets growly and doesn't like being examined or given booster shots. This muzzle will be a great helper in making sure no one gets bit at the vet's office. I'm keeping the other sizes because I plan on getting siblings for him soon. I'm so thankful I found this great muzzle at such a great price.UPDATE: Well it was a great muzzle until my dog decided he didn't like wearing it anymore while he was at the vet's office. A vet tech slipped it partially off of him to give him a med by mouth and before the vet tech could get it back onto him completely he decided to destroy it by chewing it to pieces. He was very proud of himself for destroying it until I got a different type of muzzle for him. I still really like this muzzle though and I still recommend it.

This muzzle was advertised as "Leather". It's definitely NOT leather, so I'm only giving it 3 stars. Some kind of Pleather maybe. In any case, it's pretty soft and it comes with an awl to punch additional holes in the belt like part. Punching extra holes is easy if you use a hammer on a hard surface. For anyone like me who doesn't bother to get a tape measure and wrap it around your dogs face....I ordered a Medium for my dog whom I consider a medium size. He is about 40-50 pounds, a terrier mix and stands about 20 inches tall at the shoulder. I could have ordered a small. But with the medium on the tightest setting and punching an extra hole in the back, it does its job just fine. Overall, I would say this is an economical buy. Oh yeah, he IS able to get it off if I let him paw at it for awhile, but there is a wide loop in the back that you can run your dog's collar through that will help with that.

Looks like a nice product but you 'd better make sure you have the correct fit because you will have to pay for shipping to return the item. I'd get a whopping $4 back so I'll keep it and donate to a shelter. Too bad, because I like the style. The quality seems good and I liked that it is cut so the muzzle doesn't ride up in to the animal's eyes. I purchased for a 95lbs rottie. It was too small. It fit going around the head, but not the dog's muzzle. Those straps were too short.

This product was made well. Fit well. It was a last result to help cure or cut down on constant barking. My larger female Pyrenees/Border collie is suffering separation anxiety after an out of state move. Unfortunately it went with all the other ideas I've tried for her. She barked very well 2mins after putting it on. Back to the drawing board...

I got this so that my puppy can come out into the main areas of my house and spend time with the family. He likes to nip my kids and eat their toys. I wanted to get him something he could still eat and drink in while wearing. A website recommended this product and said they couldn't bite while wearing it. Well, I guess that's technically true, but the dog can still nip my children with his teeth, grab their toys, and chew them up. This means the muzzle was pretty pointless for the purpose I bought it for.

I am impressed with the quality of this muzzle! Its not top notch but its pretty darn close and super nice for the 13 dollars that it cost me. I have a 95 pound german shepherd and a 70 pound boxer/dane mix and the size large works well for either of them. Obviously they hate it and try to get it off, but it has a little loop in the back that attaches to the collar and it has managed to stay put just fine. I havent left them unsupervised with it on though, so I couldnt guarantee that it would stay if they had a good long while to work at getting it off. They breathe easily in it and can stick their tongues out but I dont think they would be able to pant effectively or drink enough water while wearing this.

The muzzle is what I was looking for to help me with stopping my dog from barking. It is a very sturdy muzzle but even though I measured her, the chart indicated I should get a medium. It is too big so I am going to need to return it for the small. I am looking forward in testing it out.
