Max and NeoRope Slip Lead Reflective 5 Foot - We Donate a Leash to a Dog Rescue for Every Leash Sold (BLACK, 5FT X 1/2")

Just unwrapped my order. I will update as I get a chance to use this leash. I have ordered this Max and Neo leash after our green Remington one would give up on us. With only an estimated use of 2 dozen times, the little leather sliding piece on the Remington leash kept slipping through the ring and released any dog we had on that leash. A little head shake might not seem much, but it worked every time to undo the leash:-(I like the Max and Neo orange color on our brown dogs. Upon opening I have already noticed a few things. It is solid quality material. It is stiff and will more than likely soften over the first couple uses. The little leather sliding piece is tiny, and only time will tell how long it will take for it to soften enough, to slip right through the ring. It also is very stiff to slide to tighten the loop around a neck, right out of the box. Not good when it comes to catching strays. Things will have to go fast, no time for fumbling. I do however appreciate Max and Neo donating a leash to rescue for every leash purchased. Like I said, I will update after some use, but for right now, I prefer the other brand( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DCBTTSI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) I have ordered at the same time to keep inside our cars for stray dogs that come along.

Our obedience trainer recommended this style leash for our Houdini pup who was not good on a leash AND was able to slip every collar/harness that we ever tried. Even harnesses advertised as no-slip.We saw an immediate difference with this lead. (Well, probably the fact that we were also using a trainer helped ...) She does not pull. But, most important, she does not slip this lead, which sounds implausible given how simple this is compared to the convoluted contraption of collars plus harness that we were using. This is deceptive in its simplicity. I wish I had bought this from day one and saved all the hours I have spent running around my neighborhood holding a leash and slipped harness, chasing my Houdini pup.Also, the reflective stitching is VERY visible from a distance. Very nice feature. Thank you.

Initially I was nervous about its size and strength for my husky that pulled a lot. I was relieved that it was a good size and very sturdy, as my dog pulled a LOT. This is the primary leash I used when teaching her leash manners and now use it daily for walks and letting her out. I love how easy it is to slip on and that they can't slip this like the can a regular collar. The keeper on the other leash I have of this style constantly slips and allows the loop to get far too big so I really like that while this one is adjustable by hand, it stays put otherwise! Even though its a good size for my husky, I think it would work well for dogs as small as corgis and everything in between!

I bought this for my dog, who really is able to go without a leash. One of those Amazon purchases of stuff you don't really need. I gave it to my neighbor who has to bring her dog out on a leash, even though her yard is fenced because of feral cats and wild bunnies. She doesn't have to come outside first and shine a flashlight and scare everything away now because she is able to control her dog with this leash. I'd say it works pretty good. I bought it a long time ago, so I'd also say it's pretty durable since it's used several times a day on a rather large dog that wants to chase rabbits and feral cats.

I volunteer at our county shelter and have walked dozens of dogs with this leash! It’s been chewed and tugged on by 120+ pound dogs for 3 years now and hasn’t broken yet! Highly highly recommend this leash. Plus the company donates to animal rescues for every leash sold, which I love.

I work with dog rescue groups rescuing both small and large dogs, but more of the large breeds. Your slip leashes are excellent quality and I feel more secure moving a large breed dog with a leash that is sturdy. I also work with the Chinese Shar Pei Network and have been recipient of your wonderful gift packages. They are filled with well made collars, leashes, and some goodies thrown in for good measure. The box that had the "Adopt Me" leashes are wonderful for adoption events and most welcome. I make sure to let other rescues know of your great products and good prices.

We love this leash! I'm able to give my pup some good tugs when she's not responding to commands without worrying about her slipping her collar. The length is good and the rope is comfortable to hold. I took off one star because it's really not very reflective and there are a couple of loose strands on it already, but overall it's a good product. It's my favorite leash I've bought thus far!

I love this leash and it is very well made. It has a very smooth glide when tightening/loosening and isn't rough or doesn't tear up the dogs fur. The leather stopper works great to adjust the size of the loop when loose. I love that they donate a leash to a dog rescue as we have a rescue dog and think that is the only way to go as far as getting a pet.
