Power strips have been tested with multiple items, including power tools, with no issues. No cut-out template comes with this. I initially used the back side to trace out my cuts on plywood but found out afterward that the backing was beveled toward the front, and I had to trim out further (no biggie, just be aware.)🛠 Who Should Buy This?This device is for anyone. The installation was very easy, and the device exceeded all my expectations. I bought one to try out and have now bought several more, some for my home and some for projects at others.🔚 Final Verdict:This power strip is amazing. Works great easy to use and install good quality

Bought these to install on our bedside tables. With a little help from an oscillating tool (another Amazon purchase) they’re in and working perfectly. Great quality and the length of the cord is perfect for us.

I bought 2 of these, and within 2 months, the USB portion of one of them stopped working. Other than that it's works quite well. Hopefully when I buy a 3rd one it won't break as fast as this one.

This recessed plug is exactly what I was looking for at a good price too. We have an Airbnb and our guests always need more plugs and charging ports for their devices. This did the trick with little work on my end.

Perfect solution for my need to bring power to the mantle above my new media wall/fireplace I installed. Fits perfectly with a little work and looks great. Only recommendation I would have for the manufacturer is to include a “template” for the cut to insure a clean and even fit.

Defective by design: changing any usb cable interrupts other usb processes already plugged in. So, if you are running a USB device on one port and either plug or unplug any other USB port, they all reset. In the case of a mouse-mover, for example, the mouse mover will stop until manually restarted. LIkewise with something that is charging -- plug/unplug another USB device and you'll need to re-plug the device that was charging to continue charging. Subtle bug and frustrating.
