Affordable top quality
Dead Head Props' eyes are the absolute best I have ever personally seen. The iris is actually recessed into the eyeball, with the clear plastic coating not just filling that and rounding out the eye, but actually giving the cornea a proper dome shape. It unfortunately lacks veins on the white of the eye, but the blood coating around the edges of the eyeball (and on mine, a little splatter on the cornea) helps mask that. The only issue I found is that the gore bits for the ripped out eyeballs are stiffer than I was expecting, but that's only an issue if you intend to hold it up horizontally. Even then, for pictures or shorter instances of being seen holding it, that can be masked with clever angles, sticking the end of the gore up your sleeve, or holding it in a way that bends it to follow gravity. It's best for laying stationary on a flat surface, but a bit of innovation and creativity should be allow for more mobile uses. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if there is a way to soften the gore and make it more susceptible to gravity without ruining the shiny finish. I absolutely recommend this if you're looking for a highly realistic human eyeball, be it for movies, photos, jokes, or what-have-you. Dead Head Props also sells "eye poppers" on their website, if you're interested in something easier to palm. They're made to be put into skulls, but the gore is only just a little more than enough to cover the eyeball, so it's easier to pass off as real while being held, or hide in small areas. They also have just the acrylic eye available, if you're looking for a full or half eye that is clean of gore and blood.

What happened to your eye?!?
I told the rascals that I lost my eye in a staring contest with a deranged clown at the Carnevil. This was a great addition to the Crazy Old McGruff’s costume. It looks great (pun intended) and worked extremely well. Got the desired laughs and looks of disgust ‘eye’ was seeking. Excellent quality. Might even hang it on our Christmas tree.

Realistic
Looks good. I’ve left it laying around in places and it gets the desired response. Lol

So much disgusting fun
This is definitely realistic compared to other Amazon items. I do wish there were veins in the eye. But at night nobody's going to notice I reminded myself. I plan on having this stick out a clown mask. So much fun

Great looking eyeball!
Nowhere else will you find an eye that looks this good for this price. Using mine as part of Halloween display table of ingredients our witch is harvesting from our cemetery display. I usually make my own props, but the price difference between the bare Dead Heads eyes (which I would have ordered to make one anyways) and this one already made isn't a lot and it saves me some time. I'll probably add some veins and coat it with epoxy before adding it to my display though.

Company should be doing some quality control or paint training
For the price of this item I would expect not to have any complaints about it. However, my eye was less much than perfect and didn't quite match my expectations based on the pictures. The bloody part was a very dark red and almost brownish. To me it doesn't have as much of an effect as a brighter red (more like real blood) would've had. If it was just that I'd be ok with it but the paint job was crappy. There was a void of paint on both sides of the eye that left white showing through. It is as if someone touched both sides of it while it was wet and it's quite noticeable. It's easy enough to fix but honestly for $17 for one little prop, I shouldn't have to go through any expense or effort to fix anything on it. Sorry to say but I am dissatisfied. Had the price been closer to the $10 range I would probably be slightly less disappointed. Despite being overpriced, it is otherwise a really cool item.

Looks great! Very realistic.
I'm sick of seeing crappy Halloween-grade props online, since I do high quality skits and shorts. I work in the film industry, so I'm used to high quality, realistic props. This eyeball satisfies this need. The eyeball itself is very realistic (as seen in the picture), and the bloody bits are made of latex (which is a common film technique). No low-grade plastic or rubber.
