Very nice colours, easy to use and blend. I like that they do not need sharpening (no broken leads in pencils anymore!) I will have lots of fun with these!

I wanted to try watercolor crayons, but without knowing how I would like them, I didn't want to make a big investment. These are a great price for the color variety and quality, blend beautifully with water on both coldpress watercolor and hotpress mixed media paper. You get a lot of pigment payoff without a ton of product. I'm only experimenting in my sketchbooks so I can't speak to light-fastness or longevity, but for the price these seem like a great entry point for the medium.

Soy profesora de ilustracion y me agradaron bastante. Los crayones tienen una textura como seca, no son cremosos, se siente un poco duritos cuando los usas por primera vez, dejan una textura de crayola tal cual, pero se disuelven muy bien con el agua, que al final es su función, ser solubles al agua, la variedad de colores es excelente, la pigmentacion también me pareció buena, si quieres lograr un color intenso después de pasarles el agua le tienes que pintar bastante con el color xq si lo dejas tenue tendrás una acuarela muy suave, normal, vi videos en los que decian que después de poner el agua quedaban las rayas del color, pero en las pruebas que yo hice No fue asi, (los probe en papel opalina no en papel acuarela), el pigmento se disuelve por completo y queda una textura suave tal cual de acuarela, yo los recomendaria sin duda para usarlo como acuarelas, es decir, no dejaria como un estilo mixto de color seco y acuarela xq sin diluir el terminado es un poco tosco, salvo que sea un estilo que quieras conseguir como de boceto o ilustracion inflantil entonces estan ideales! Pero en general son mejor de lo que esperaba! Pigmentan bien, se disuelven bien, se ven muy resistentes y definitivamente van a durar bastante! Por el precio creo que estan mas que excelentes! Sin duda creo que puedes lograr un estilo acuarela o mixmedia muy interesante!

I bought this brand just to use for quick sketch work, thinking they would be inexpensive to use for preliminary work. What a shock…these little sticks have incredible pigment power. They take water effortlessly and don’t leave any heavy marks on the paper. Colours blend very well and overlay beautifully. They feel hard to use on paper so the paper should be of good quality, as these really needs loads of water to get dynamic colour movement. Most colours hold their impact. I found 3 that really washed out once the water was added but surprisingly, using a soft touch, I was able to rebuild the colour strength with a slight pass over. This set includes all the colours I will ever need. I can create an endless palette from the set. The reds were a bit disappointing, blue/red and orange/red but adding the magenta, strengthened the red tone to a more true red colour. There is only 1 white stick which is disappointing as they could have added 4 more to build the set up to 40, maybe something for Sargeants to think about. The box is flimsy, so I will be putting these sticks into a different box but it certainly doesn’t effect the power these sticks have to give. A very happy purchase. If you are an artist or a crafter, I highly recommend giving this brand a go.

Tiene una gama de colores muy lindos, la textura es mucho más compacta que los que no son acuarelables. Me gusta el efecto que da con el agua, aunque disminuye la intensidad del color, hay que jugar con los colores y las texturas. Muy recomendables.
