Filter socks are a great way to add fine particle filtration to any aquarium system. Many reef ready sumps come with sock holders already, but what if you don't have one? Maybe your sump is older or you are using a glass aquarium as a DIY sump? No problem. This 7" sock filter kit allows you to easily add a filter sock to your existing or new system! This product is popular with our DIY crowd, as you can easily super glue this filter sock holder in place. It can be glue by either the sock base or the larger part, depending on application and preferences. The filter sock holder will come with the sock holder, one 7" 200 micron sock, your choice of SINGLE or DUAL 1" Blukhead Inlets, 1" rounded PVC nipple for easy pipe installation (one per bulkhead). If you are using a pre-fit sump hose like the ones Eshopps provides, simply remove our PVC nipple - it is not glued in. This fine particle filtration method can be used in any tank - fresh water, salt water, reef tanks... it doesn't matter. --- The 7" Sock Holder is a single 7" sock setup that is designed for aquariums 12" in width and can have one or two inputs into the sock - just choose the variant that matches your needs. You can always get 2 and only use one of course, so you can use this for future expansion!
