Good simple test kit.
I bought this because I was put on a preventative, national diabetes type 2 programme that offered no follow-up tests to measure the impact of the programme. It works, it's easy to use, it's inexpensive. Whether or not it's accurate, I don't know and I suggest it's a poor substitute for an NHS test but at least I can compare one result with another and check to see if any attempts to reduce blood sugar are effective.

Highly inaccurate
Highly inaccurate! Don’t bother!I bought to check my Haemoglobin levels. All the instructions were followed but the machine consistently gave dangerously high readings of over 18 and sometimes over 19. I had to go to dr for emergency blood test. I even used a drop of venous blood when they took the sample to check. Machine said Hb was19.2 whereas lab reading was 15.6 also cholesterol on machine was 4.5 and lab was 6.3. All readings miles out. I sent it back as it’s not fit for purpose.

Seems to work well.
I can't guarantee its accuracy, but it does show the trend well. Wife suffers from anemia, so when her blood count drops too low it's time for the Doctors or A&E. Very helpful and reassuring.

The code of these strips does not match whats on the ACCU reader ..
Obvious with codes not matching .. which it should do according to the ACCU answers reader .. Its not possible to rely on the results .. In fact the results varied so much with the test strips .. That i found the results completely untrust worthy

its a great thing
its a great thing to be able to check your blood levels but if no one tells you that the machine needs the right code in order to function you end up like me buying then send back......apparently its possible to change the code in the machine so that you can use whatever strips you get with whatever code on it, but again if no one tells you how are you supposed to know?????

Works as described.
Follow the instructions and this works well. I find this device needs slightly more blood to work than a different glucose monitor, but its not a problem once you have worked out what is needed. The only unknown factor is the accuracy of a home test like this compared to lab tests, but we use it as a general indication of where our figures are rather than a detailed analysis.
