I love this & it keeps good time. Must be in well lit area with a light color background to read. You could get creative and put textile or a graphic behind it. Otherwise, if it's on a dark wall with the dark hands, they blend into the Roman numerals. Still a very handsome clock at a realistic price. Still accurate after using it for a month.

Husband had to take apart and re-attach the arms. they were lose. Hard to see on a tan or darker paint background
