If you're looking for a simple, reliable landline phone that won't break the bank, this vibrant red VTech model is an absolute steal. The sound quality is surprisingly crystal clear, and the bright backlit screen makes seeing who’s calling super easy even from across the room. My only minor gripe is that the menu setup feels a bit retro and navigating through the saved call log can take a second to get used to. Overall, it’s an awesome, high-quality cordless phone that adds a fun pop of color to the counter while doing its job perfectly!

EDIT: while still giving five stars, I've never had to use the locate handset button on the base, but decided to try it today. It only worked IF the handset was in the base! If it was out of the base, nothing. Now this isn't a big deal to me, and maybe it's just a fluke on mine, but for those who might need or want this, check that feature as soon as you get the phone. _______________________________________ My old Vtech that I have had for four years and also got on Amazon was still working, but they recommend changing the battery pack every one to two years if you use a lot. Well, I do use my phone a lot as I am at home most of the time. It didn't cost much more to get a new phone over the battery pack. So was still going after four years and I have paid 20 and change for my old one, this one, with tax (high tax in my state), was 23 and change. It took about 12 hours to fully charge before first use, which is expected. Maybe a little less or more, but it does take awhile. Love the sleek look! Has all the features I need and was surprised it even had aaa batteries in case power went out! We get a lot of thunderstorms here in the Midwest and power going out not uncommon. It even has a button on the side of the base to locate handset. Bottomline: Would get again and when I want or need another phone, it will again be Vtech.

This phone set lasts for many years with minimal issues. Some time to time there is static. Overall, it is easy to use. The volume is easily adjustable along with making new voicemail recordings. The buttons are user friendly.

No issue, simple plug and go. Quality of sound is good.

This phone replaces two VTECH 2431 2.4Ghz GIGAPHONES that I've had for over 21 years and really loved. One phone developed an issue with the keypad (buttons were becoming hard to press) but still worked. The other started developed an issue with static on the line so I thought it would be a good time to replace them...and this was the closest match. Unfortunately, the excellent 2431 is no longer available. I like the reliability, voice quality, range, and features of VTECH phones. However, this phone is only OK and definitely no match for the 2431. There are a few features I don't like. First, as a few others have mentioned, this phone does not have the MESSAGE WAITING LED of the older 2431. This was a blinking green LED on the top of the phone to indicate that you had new voicemail. You could simply glance at the phone, even from across the room, to tell that a message was waiting. The LED was also duplicated on the base station. For this phone, the only way to tell if there is a new message is to lift the phone off of the cradle to light up the display and look for the VM envelope icon. Not very user friendly. The second thing that bothers me is that there is an annoying bright RED LED on the front of the phone to indicate that the phone is in it's cradle and charging. The phone sits on my desk and this LED really bothers me. It's too bright. Would prefer if VTECH changed this LED back to a green MESSAGE WAITING LED. That would be a more useful feature. Perhaps move the CHARGE LED to the base instead. This is being picky, but I'm also not too crazy about the ring tones. I prefer the tones on the 2431. Also, the 2431 base was a full featured speakerphone that included a keypad and duplicated the buttons on the handset and included LEDs for MESSAGE WAITING, POWER, LINE IN USE, and HANDSET CHARGING. Even without the handset, you could make calls from the base station as well as use the base as an intercom. For this phone, the base simply has a "find handset" button and LINE IN USE LED, no speaker phone feature. The speaker phone feature is only available on the handset. Although it looks like the base speakerphone features are available in more expensive models.

Very good quality, just wish it came with message function. My mistake, will keep.

Item was defective and was refursbished. Not new. Returned more than a month ago and now fighting for a refund.

I have finally found a cordless phone which meets all my requirements. In my 80 years, I have never praised an equipment. But this phone forced me to write about it. Fantastic, easy to install with more than required facilities for any user.

So worth the money and cute!
