Princess Canopy with Sequins (Purple)

I choose to ignore the bad reviews this time and purchase this for my 6 year old daughter anyway. I am glad that I did! We had no problems with tangling at all. It was neatly folded in the plastic and tied with the string that it hangs from so that it doesn't tangle or just pop open. It is absolutely beautiful and perfect. My daughter loves it! The little hot pink ties around it did fall off during set up, but they were easy to just tie back on and looked better than before anyway. Also the strong to hang it was way too long so we had to wrap it up 3 times.

I looked online quite a bit before settling on buying this canopy to put above our 3-year old's big girl bed. I have to say the majority of the canopies I checked out from other retailers were really overpriced. I considered even making a canopy because it doesn't look that hard to make if you are somewhat crafty but then I found this one. I'm really happy now that I just bought the canopy instead of making one because this one is really cute and looks expensive. It adds the perfect touch of "princess-ness" to our daughter's room without looking cheesy. It seems well-constructed and my daughter loves sleeping with it draped above her head. Would highly recommend to anyone with a girlie-girl wanting to jazz up their room.

I bought the "Princess Canopy By Sid Trading" for my 6 year old daughter. I literally received it 10 minutes ago from my mail man. It came in a small post office box. I opened the box and there is a rip in in the canopy. I know Sid Trading must have seen the damn rip and still decided to send it to me. The rip is so blatant, it took no effort to see it. I am thinking they sent it because they knew it would be hard to return it to the small box. I have tried and have not figured it out yet. The top round part of the canopy expands when it is pulled out the box and I don't know how to get it back small again. I am afraid of breaking it since I am planning to return it. I called Amazon about it and they will contact the merchant. I will update you later if they decide to replace it and let me know how to shrink it so it can fit back into the box. The better pay for the return and re-shipment, if they decide not to return my money.Update Oct 3, 2013Sid Trading immediately returned my money and they did not take the product back. I was extremely upset when I wrote my first review but I must say that Sid Trading stood by their product and that is the most you can ask of any merchant. Just for your information: The Canopy did look like the picture as advertised. The colors are vibrant and would make any child's room look happy. I did not use the canopy because of the rip, but a rip free one would be the highlight of any child's day. I would recommend this product because the customer service was great. Hence, my upgrade to four stars.

This item is very pretty...BUT the little sequins fall off. I mean you will find them everywhere, all the time. If you do buy this, literally, have a vacuum handy. I wont return it simply because I just don't have the fight to re-pack, and it is nice to look at... However, I am considering giving it to someone else though, if I find that the confetti becomes too annoying...CAUTION!!! if you have (or will have) children at that "putting things in the mouth" stage, you may not be interested in this particular item.

This item looks great in my daughters room, it has held up well in the 5 months we have had it. It was rather inexpensive compared with major chain brands, so I was skeptical, but I have been very happy with this and would buy it again for my other girls! It was easy to put up, hasnt tangled at all.

I bought this for my 5 year old for Christmas, and she loves it!!!! The only thing different about the picture from the actual product is there is no what appears to be pink flowers on the sheer part. Not a big deal for us. This looks amazing over her bed. Very happy with the purchase

This was beautiful in the picture, but when it arrived, the decorative trim was badly tangled and not stitched on properly. When I gently tried to untangle the trim, it popped right off as it was stitched with only a single stitich. The fabric that supports the hook that the canopy hangs from is also very thin and cheap. It ripped and fell down within one day. I have rigged this to hang by sewing my own support straps and additional hooks, but, it in no way looks as nice as if this company would have put a little more effort into increasing the quality of the canopy to begin with.

Bought this for our daughter when we re-did her room as a Christmas gift. I am pleasantly surprised at the many details it has. I do not sew, so the thought of making one was more stress than the cost of purchasing one. One warning... if you intend to put this above a bed, know that the white strings are not sewn into the pink sheers. That said, make sure you keep those strings (you can see them in the pic with the darker pink bows on them) tucked away so they are not a choking hazard in the night. We have our canopy "split" open and partly tucked behind an antique headboard so it is not an issue for us, but you might want to consider purchasing some tie-backs if you do not have a headboard. Our daughter loves the canopy and it really was the perfect finishing touch to her fairy princess room.
