Wild Wisdom of the Faery Oracle

Very Powerful Deck
Just beginning to read about Faery's and their history. Somehow I was drawn to this Faery Oracle. When I recieved it I was intrigued and spell bound by the beautiful layout of the cards. I began reading the book and couldn't stop. The book is very detailed and the meanings/interpretation of the cards are very descriptive and very "ACCURATE". There are suggestions/rituals for you to connect with the Faery's but I was not willing to do that at the moment. I believe the rituals described only boost your connection with Faery but in my OPINION not necessary to get answers you are searching for. However, I did say a prayer and invited the Faery's into my life for guidance. After shuffling the cards a bit a card fell out of the deck. My quick reaction was to gather it and place it back in the deck. The card was "Little Boy Blue". Didn't know anything about the card just yet and why it popped out as it did. Anyway, I placed the card aside and continued to shuffle until I was ready to lay a spread. I used the suggested 5 card spread. I honestly was freaked out with the cards that I picked for each position (which describes where you are in life). Every card was reversed and described EXACTLY my life details in terms of blockages, healing and so forth. The book offers reversal meanings and aren't necessarily negative. Just some things the Faery's believe you need to work on to better yourself. What really freaked me out because they were so "ACCURATE" I tested the cards by doing their suggested 3 card spread, Past, Present, Future. I am thinking that while shuffling the first time I didn't notice whether or not if I had the cards upright or reversed. In shuffling the cards for the 3 card spread I purposefully made sure each card was upright. Ok, now this is what blew me away. I laid the first 3 cards down and placed them in their position Past, Present, Future. I turned each card over one by one and again, all 3 were reversed and had mimicked the 5 card spread in terms of my blockages/healing. I said no way something must be wrong. To get clarification of future events you are allowed to pull a 4th card and so on depicting time in months. The card pulled was also reversed. Scratching my head I turned over the rest of the cards one by one but not to lay on my spread for further clarification. All were upright. I freaked out. I put the cards back together and thanked the Faery's for their advice/guidance. I just sat and reflected on what just happened. This is a very "POWERFUL" deck but not for the timid. I "HIGHLY" Recommend this deck for anyone who really wants to get an understanding of their life. It's good for Spiritual, Emotional and Physical well being.

Another Great Oracle by Lucy Cavendish
Once upon a time they say.....opens the Faery Oracle Guidebook. A beautiful faery on the cover beckons you to come and join her in FaeryLand. Inside, you will find introductory information on Faeires, suggestions on how to work with faeires, questions to ask of them and various layouts to read the Oracle's messages. The 180 page book describes each card adding divinatory and reversal meanings along with information on the author and artist. The Oracle deck consists of 47 cards beautifully rendered by Selina Fenech. Mysteriously 2 cards are in sepia tones while the other 4x6 cards are in color. Each card has a title, such as "Cry for Nature" and a subtitle like, "Mourning for something sacred which seems lost." Both male and female faeries are represented. The backs are deeper colors of brown and sepia with an outline of the Flower of Life symbol centered with a double 7 pointed star and edged with a golden fringe style border. The card stock is flexible enough for shuffling if your hands fit these cards. If not, they are flexible enough to shuffle from the sides, rather than end to end.I find the artwork for the Oracle to present a more consistent message than the conglomeration of artists in it's older sibling, Oracle of the DragonFae. While the artwork of the DragonFae is beautiful, the various styles in a reading could be a bit jarring. Using Selina's artwork exclusively has solved this issue, yet I do wonder why some of the cards are sepia. They do not appear to be particularly pensive in nature, nor necessarily introspective. These are very active cards. They offer accurate and extensive information. The reader is easily connected to the faeries of this deck and the messages of each rendering.I'm certain this latest Oracle from Lucy Cavendish will become as classic as her other works.

Very Sweet and Grace Filled Deck!
The art on this deck makes you feel like you are walking through the fairy forest for adventures. I also felt the card stock was just right for shuffling the cards and feel like they will hold up well. I have used the cards a couple times and the cards I drew were very connected and fitting to the question I asked. Highly recommend!!

Love these!
I am a devoted Alana Fairchild fan, I rarely buy other cards, but I took a chance on Lucy Cavendish and I am so happy I did. This is my 3rd deck of hers, and I love them all. The messages are quite as strong as Alana's, but the artwork is incredible and the messages do resonate. Happy with the purchase!

Ótimo oráculo
Arte lindíssima. Mensagens bem interessantes para pensar a respeito. Gostei muito. Boa qualidade. Vou usar como oráculo, no fechamento da consulta do tarot. Apenas acho as cartas muito largas para embaralhar.

Great Quality Deck
Gorgeous artwork by Selina Fenech and beautiful ''stories'' and detailed descriptions of each card by Lucy Cavendish. The cardstock is great quality also. If fairies are your thing, you shouldn't regret purchasing this deck..

Oracolo fatato

Beautiful, more balanced than many, and reads really well
This is a gorgeous 47 card deck painted by Selina Fenech, with a companion book by the white witch, Lucy Cavendish. The artwork is really beautiful, and quite feminine. That being said, the deck has a surprisingly good ratio of male characters, with 18 of the 47 cards containing males. I say males rather than men as I count greenmen, a gargoyle and gnomes, as well as the more handsome faery lads, and an old Merlin character. As for the basics, the cards are fairly large (about 9.5 by 13.8cms, or 3¾ inches by 5½), and have a non-reversible back showing a seven-pointed star. There is a number at the top of each card for easy reference, and then the card name and some keywords at the bottom. They are nicely laminated, and a good thickness - not flimsy, but also not bulky. The borders are fairly subtle - a brown, wood-whorl pattern all the way around, with a golden “hinge” type pattern to left and right outside edges, and a narrow gold border within that before the image itself. The kit comes in a quite large, soft cardboard box. The companion book states it’s 188 pages, though some of those are the copyright page etc, and ads at the back. Still, this is far more than a LWB, with a lot of useful information about faeries in general, as well as how to use the deck. There are three specifically designed faery spreads of seven, five and three cards, and indepth looks at each card, including a general introduction, divinatory and reversed meanings. The artwork is quite pretty, with some dark overtones in places. Two of the cards, for example, are done in black and white, which is impactful in contrast to the gentle but bright colours of the rest of the cards. There are also a couple of nods to Brian Froud’s artwork, in particular several cards that echo images from his Faeries Oracle. Overall, though, the backgrounds are less detailed, less busy, than Froud’s, which I find makes for clearer, though perhaps simpler, readings and meditations. The author, Lucy Cavendish, emphasises in this deck environmental themes, as well as more personal healing, self-respect and self-empowerment. She also spends some time on the Wiccan sabbats, dividing them into Galactic portals (the solstices and equinoxes, which are universal/astrological and may focus more on the sun) and the Gaia portals (the crossquarter days, which are more earth-centred).I love the fact that there are a number of “doorway” cards, portals to the faery realm. These help me focus on the idea of how to cross to the Otherworld, and what doing so entails. I also really like the greenmen, who add a more mature and masculine energy to the deck, balancing out the many, pretty faery girls. And these ideas combine, for example, in the Greenman’s Door card, which shows a faery lounging within the “knocker” that hangs from the Greenman’s mouth, sparkles trailing about them both.Another card which I find beautiful and tender is “Mother and Daughter”, which shows a pale green-winged faery lying in a flower-filled meadow, with her little child wrapped within the folds of her cream dress. I also like the gentle charm of Acorn’s Invitation, where a green butterfly-winged faery lad squats to touch the ground, his longish brown hair decorated with feathers and autumn leaves, and an acorn pendant at his throat. The Gossamer Princess invites us to work on our relationships and communication, sitting on a gossamer thread in a purple sky, contemplating what has gone before and how best to move forward. All the cards of this deck have been beautifully executed by Selina Fenech, with vivid colours and interesting characters. They invite us into the land of faery, and into exploring ourselves and the natural world. There is plenty of symbolism here for intuitive readings, as well as the keywords, and the insightful interpretations of Lucy Cavendish. It’s a deck which could easily take the place of an angel oracle, offering an uplifting message and a spiritual connection either as part of a wider reading, on it’s own, or for meditation purposes. I’ve grown to love this deck, which always has some insight to share, in a gentle yet forthright manner.
