Would recommend
I have several of these and other Hue lights throughout my house. They work great. Simple to control. Nice and bright. Great color options and pre-built themes.

Great bulbs, last long (still haven't had to replace any after 4 years).
I have at least 9 of these bulbs and they've been going well for over 4 years without any issues so I believe they have a long lifespan. Love the colors and very easy to use with the Hue App. I've only used the Hue App to connect to it, but it provides all the features I need (color, brightness, organized by rooms, connect to switches, etc).

Buy a hub too - great bulbs with the full ecosystem
These bulbs are great. I had used off brand or lesser quality smart bulbs for a few years and decided to finally get these. Big difference! These are brighter, have way more functions and have really nice scenes in the app. Plus the ability to customize scenes is great. We made a nice one that is for ‘fancy dinner’ with flickering candlelight on some bulbs and a nice soothing low light on others. Can even drop a widget on your iPhone to activate scenes. If you are new to these, be sure to invest in the hub too, it enables per-room and per-light controls and scenes. Without the hub you still have decent control with the app on your phone, but the hub really is worth it. Set up was better than the off-brand ones I had been using, and the Hue app is way better than what those used. Integrated pretty easily with my Google home, but I still haven’t quite figured out after a few months how to invoke scenes using voice commands. No issues using voice for on/off/dimming though.

Great bulbs. Very reliable.
Great bulbs, very reliable. I've used a number of different smart bulbs, including wifi, bluetooth, and zigbee. These bulbs connect reliably to their network, and most importantly, they STAY connected. One concern: I've ordered Philips Hue bulbs before, and received fake garbage bulbs in a Philips Hue box. Amazon was quick to refund my purchase, but be warned. Update: It's happened again, I placed orders for a couple of two packs of these bulbs and while one of the two packs was exactly as ordered, the other pack contained the wrong bulbs inside of the correct boxes. I'm thinking that Amazon is putting returned goods up for sale again without actually checking what is in the package. I will again be returning the incorrect bulbs. This is inconvenient, but as long as Amazon accepts these returns, I'm satisfied.

It’s the benchmark smart bulb…
The recommended price for these bulbs is vicious. However, shop around and you can find them for around 45 bucks. Once you get over the sticker shock, you will find that these bulbs are very bright (I can believe the 1600 lumen claim), they don’t fail over time (like so many led bulbs do), they have a high 90+ color rendition index (that’s nice light to be in) at least in the white spectrum, they can reproduce almost any color of light, they connect quickly, behave reliably, and the hue bridge + app gives you tremendous control over how your lighting works. You can buy cheaper bulbs, but the Philips ecosystem works properly. My family are largely technophobes. They would not have anything to do with an app. However, these bulbs in combination with a Hue Tap and Dial switch, operate as easily as any ‘switch it on at the wall’ type lighting. The price will sting, but the results make it worthwhile.

I geek out over these things
Honestly, I can't wait to buy more lol. I've got my room dialed in so that these lights gradually wake up an mimic a sunrise. I'm telling you it's the single greatest improvement to the quality of my day to day life, especially during these dark winters.

Too expensive, longer than standard bulbs, fixtures beware.
** The most important fact is that these are a bit longer than standard bulbs and certain light fixtures/covering are not compatible and will not fit them.** These are certainly better than the older less bright versions of hue lights. They still can't hold a "candle" (Pun intended) to the non color or regular non hue lights as far as overall brightness. I can't blame them, fitting that many LEDs for each color into such a small space certainly must take some engineering. They are too expensive per bulb, but do last a darn long time. The hue system is pretty solid as far as control, accessories and third party apps (I mean come on, motion detectors AND a friggen camera system all linked into the lights and your phone? Pretty awesome). Unless you are very technical and plan on programing and building your own hub and remote control system from scratch these are pretty hard to beat. Would be five stars if these where a pinch cheaper for the bulbs themselves. All things considered they make the money back in the cost of the HUB and other accessories. The default Philips Hue app is a bit lackluster but not the worst and the third party support is strong with allot of good options. Recommended but only because of the third party support. Without that these would be a hard pass.

Nice and bright, good adjustability
Bought this to replace an aging Philips Hue 60W equivalent bulb that I bought more than 10 years ago. I like the Philips hue system because they work pretty consistently compared to other budget brands with Apple HomeKit connectivity. The light is much brighter compared to the old bulb, and I use this in a floor lamp in my living room. I like that you can use the app or HomeKit to change the color temp of the bulb as well. As with other Philips Hue bulbs, you need the hub to connect to HomeKit, as it acts as a bridge to the Apple Device you have set as your base (Mine is a v1.0 HomePod). I just tell Siri to turn on, dim, or turn off the bulb regularly, and response time is pretty quick, about 1-2 seconds at most. It's very easy to use with HomeKit, and setup took at most 5 minutes to add to the hub and get it working. I expect this bulb to last around as long as the previous bulb, and it was worth every penny if so.

Recomendo!

Was this an unchecked return?
I am very disappointed as this looks to be a returned product. I should have known as the sticker holding it closed was not the normal "clear" sticker that Philips uses. Upon opening the box, I did not find a 16w 1600 lumen bulb. It is an 9.5w 800 lumen bulb instead. I have several of these bulbs already! And to make matters worse, it is the second generation bulb without Bluetooth. So this bulb does not match anything on the box!

Mejor que los de 9w
Muy bien. La luz es mucho mayor que los de 9w y aunque la forma es un poco más fea iluminan muy bien. Los redonditos son los de 9w
