Rogeti Slopes Black - Instant Stand for GoPro in Housing

Let me clear this up for everybody that may be concerned after seeing the low reviews stating this doesn't fit the GoPro Hero 5: I purchased the Slopes-Black and it fits the GoPro Hero 5 PERFECT as long as you have the plastic frame case on (officially known as the frame mount). It has a very firm fit with enough resistance to safely securely the GoPro in the mount but not enough to be a nuisance when inserting and removing the GoPro from the stand.Here's why this is a good thing: It gets you in the habit of ALWAYS leaving your GoPro in it's frame mount when possible. The GoPro Hero 5 (and 6/7?) is touchscreen and the ONLY thing that protects your digital screen from scratches when you place the GoPro face-up on a surface is the protrusion from the frame mount (which keeps the flat side of the camera off the surface).Will the Slopes stand work without the frame mount attached? Theoretically, yes in a few of the primary positions. It will be VERY loose, may require a bit of finessing to balance, and it may be a bit wobbly if it's very windy. But I tested the GoPro without it's frame and it can theoretically be made to work without the frame attached (but it's NOT ideal).The product's build: The product is a cleverly solid piece of molded plastic that will probably last you a lifetime. It's practically weightless, fits in the palm of your hand, and attaches to the GoPro (in its frame mount) in virtually seconds. No screwing, messing around with knobs, or playing with small moveable pieces. It's highly intuitive and doesn't require directions.The product's design: The Slopes-Black mount I received has "Slopes" branded on one side of the mount and a colorless "ROGETI" engraved on the other. GoPro brands nearly all of their products. I don't mind the minor branding. If it bothers you and you need it to be more subtle and covert, a sharpie should do the trick.Functionality: This mount is perfect for many occasions. I travel the world alone and regularly have nobody to take photos for me. However, there's usually a ledge, bench, rock, or curb somewhere nearby that's too low or too high to place my GoPro on. This mount is PERFECT for those occasions. Solo traveler + Slopes + GoPro voice command mode = PERFECTION!Other possibilities with the angled stand:- An option when you have no selfie stick available to take a group pic- Placing the GoPro in a high location to use the built-in time lapse feature and get an overview video clip (or vice versa from ground level)- Placing at the bottom of the pool to get a better angled shot of you swimming (versus the usual "swimming directly over the top" of the up-facing GoPro)- And countless other ideas...The packaging includes 18 positions this mount can be used for. CONS: You could argue that the current listed price of $12 is a little high. But I would argue it's a small fraction of the cost that GoPro would list it. I removed my bad review because I found out how the slopes can fit Hero6 black. So it does fit the Hero6 black, but it has to be in its black hard case. It won’t fit if it is in the clear protective case (the one that covers and protects the lens) because it’s too big. The black case isn’t the best for protecting the lens but at least it fits because the slopes takes great shots and is so much more efficient than a tripod. Thank you for your help.

The media could not be loaded.  Excelent quality and product. This is a very important and useful accessory for those who use a GoPro camera. In order to use this Slope with a GoPro 5 or 6, you must place the camera in the frame.The only detail that I find, is that when trying to place it on lego pieces, as they promote it in its official site, it does not fit properly, it is something loose.

Nice little mount. I think it's way overly priced and have yet to make use of it but the quality appears quite well and my GoPro Hero 4 fill fit in it without having to take it out of its case.

I wish I would thought of this. Works great with the Hero 5 Black but as long as it is in frame. For the reviews that say it does not work for the Hero 5 Black either they did not buy the black model or they not have it their GoPro in the frame. You can buy the Slopes Black knowing it WILL WORK WITH your GoPro Hero 5

I have the black hero5 session and i ordered the rogeti slopes black, it fits in perfect.Just dont forget to include the gopro case as well when you put it in the slopes.
