Does the Leviton DECORA Switch fits on this?Couldnt find SSteel Screwless wallplates from leviton.all my Switches & Outlets are Leviton DECORA

Yes they fit. As a cost savings I've been installing Leviton switches and outlets with Lutron cover plates.

Does the lutron cw-1-wh 1-gang claro wall plate in white also come with the white backer plate needed to attach it to the wall plate?

As I remember correctly it does and it is scary to separate the two for installation but fear not, this is some pretty durable plastic. Anyway, here is the last sentence of the actual discription: "Simply separate the front and back plates, attach the back plate to the wall with the screws provided and snap on the front plate for a clean and sophisticated look in just minutes.". That should pretty well sum it up for you. Both plates come together.

is there a difference between black and midnight?

Yes, black has a gloss finish and midnight has a satin finish.

Is it painted metal? or plastic ? the sw description says metal, but the cw description also says metal, but they are plastic

I purchased one in a Merlot color, and it was plastic. This would be preferable to me, because who wants to worry about the finish scratching off of him metal piece. The plastic switch plate is that color all the way through.

Perfect replacement

Fit perfectly, matched perfectly, was the perfect & exact replacement I needed for my damaged kitchen light switch. Super easy to install, great quality, durable, looks clean & elegant. If you own Lutron, stick with Lutron. (I tried another brand & it just didn’t match up, didn’t look as nice & quality wasn’t as good as Lutron)

Update your switch plates!

Bought these to update my light switches! Easy to install and changes the look in an instant! No more visible screws…..nice seamless look.

Much Better Look

Not seeing the two screws old style plates have make a big difference. I'm slowly replacing all receptacle/switch plates. It's expensive but worth it. I installed a green receptacle cover and dual switch plate in a bathroom that had greenish walls. Also replace the switches with green Lutron switch. Wow! Looks soooooo much better then the Ivory ones that came with the house. It was expensive but worth every penny. My wife approves! These are easy to install and very easy to get level for a profession look.
