The heating pad I had before I bought this one was plastic underneath a cloth cover, but it got out of shape easily, too. I love this Pure Enrichment Heating Pad and have had no problems with it getting out of shape. The heating part is covered with some sort of fabric with the pretty fabric over it so there's no sliding around. Hope you like it as much as I do.

Q: How does the Stay-on feature work? There are no instructions in the box. I want it to stay on, for my cats arthritis, they take turns using it.

If you use it for your cats, as suggested by my veterinarian, put something over the heat pad, as often the heat pad stays at one temperature and can burn the animal. When you press the stay on button, it does exactly that, it stays on. However, my heating pad never lasted longer than 8 months. I used the stay on button at night in bed. It is one feature of the heating pad that I do like the most.

Q: Does the cover snap on or have some other way to keep it from slipping go off?

No snap, but the cord goes out through an opening in the cover, and it has a folded part over that end that will also keep it from slipping out, but removable for washing. It’s great!

Q: What does it mean when the light flashes? Ive had this thing for less the 6mos

If the red light is flashing then that means you're having a connection error. Try reconnecting all the plugs to correct this. Please let us know if the issue still persists.
