We bought our daughter a desk for her 7th birthday and I purchased the "G" for a little added desktop decoration because I thought it was cute. I also thought I COULD sit it on her desk after skimming the photos & reviews. She loved it when she 1st saw it & it is cute. A little cheaper looking than I'd hoped, but I paid less than $10, so no big deal. It does look better when lit, & that's the whole point, right? However, the G I got does not stand up on it's own. It works just fine after putting in the batteries. We just got it, so I'm not sure if we'll try to wedge it up & leave it on the desk or possibly hang up in her room. I do like it, so not going to go through the hassle to return it, especially since we're still under a shelter in place order for COVID-19.

I’m kind of disappointed by this. The lights are a dull yellow. (I was expecting that nice white fluorescent-type lighting.) It doesn’t scream “excitement”. Rather, it whispers in pathetic shame, “I *used* to be a somebody. Now, I’m just waiting for my last dim bulb to blow out.” And also: “My children never come to see me anymore; now that my pension and social security have run out.”Poor, poor, sad and lonely lights. Perhaps its patheticness is due to there being no “E” in “Hollywood”. I dunno… Buy it. Don’t buy it. Only you can decide whether your level of disappointment is capable of taking one more hit, Charlie Brown.

Pretty small, side to side by my size 6 air max. Expected to be a little bigger based on reviews. It’s nice, didn’t light it up because sending back. Why waste plastic it’s sealed in. You make your decision based on what you need it for. I was using it for my upcoming Wedding in November.
