Good. Very glittery. Works with cheap tools.
It's very cool. I would say make sure you really love the glitter color though, because sometimes it's not so much an accent as it is a second color entirely. It's a very strong effect that pictures don't fully do justice, I think. However, I'm happy about that. It's a joy to use. Adds a lovely bit of energy to the lines. The glitter seems to pool up in the places where your nib left the page, like the end of a downstroke, and it seems to not be as present in places where your nib was moving quickly. It not only looks cool, but it also helps you see a bit more in detail how you write. Oh, it is glitter btw, so also make sure not to use it in places you don't want glitter. It sticks really well to the page but even so, you can get it on your hands/fingers if you rub it. It's not a lot that rubs off but I guess you might notice if it got on a stark black dress or black felt handbag or something. Lastly, it works in a Hong Dian 517D with M nib on random dollar store graph paper. I was a bit worried that it would clog, but it seems to be doing fine. So even cheap tools can make the ink look nice, but I'm sure it would look even better with higher quality tools.

professional look for personal correspondence
When I am doing creative work I put this ink in my rOtring Fountain Pen, ArtPen, Calligraphy, 1.1 mm and I love it. When I want a subdued sheen for a serious and professional look I use it with a Pilot Metropolitan medium nib. The dry time, saturation, and flow of this ink are superb. It is not a permanent ink so if your pages get wet, they smudge. If my pen is not used in over a week I would not expect the flow to start right up because there are particulates involved. I put a few drops of water on the feed, and the issue is solved. Rather than do that, it's just easier to use the pen every day. I learned from the YouTube channel of the Goulet pen company that it is a good idea to properly distribute the metallic particulates before filling the converter. I rolled the bottle of ink like I was making a play dough snake with my hands. I turned it gently over without shaking it, and rolled as before in the opposite direction. Once I did this for a few minutes, the sparkle was evenly distributed in the bottle. It is best to fill within ten seconds of this process as the sparkle does settle to the bottom in short order. As I write with this ink, I turn and roll two times about every third line. Works great. When refilling I will flush the pen thoroughly. The difference between the first Rhodia dotPad and the second Rhodia dotPad this image is my turning the page 45° with respect to the light source. -JS

Fun Ink for Casual Writing
I absolutely love this ink! It works great in my fine nib sized pen and the glitter really adds a nice touch to anything I write. The glitter does settle after sitting still, so working the pen back and forth a few times before writing helps the ink to flow correctly. As long as you write often (at least once per day), the ink should not dry out. If the pen does not want to write just lightly add pressure when trying to write until the ink flows correctly again. The ink dries fast enough, but if you rub it you will get some of the glitter back on your hand so just be conscious of that before you rub you hands on something,

High maintanence, but pretty.
This ink is amazing, a dark blue with very bright gold shimmer. Works like a c.harm in a Lamy Safari with the 1.1mm italic nib, but tends to clog my Pilot Metropolitan with the Medium nib. I was kind of lazy when going to other ink (Pelikan 4001 Dark Green) in the metropolitan, and now (after using and refiling it 4 times!) It will sometimes put out a few lines full of glitter (so much you can't see the green).

Fantastic Shimmering Blue
I've experimented with many ink brands, and Diamine is always a go-to for quality and performance and a great price. The Shimmering Enchanted Ocean is no exception. The ink provides good flow with a reasonable dry time and looks fantastic. It's a beautiful deep blue that has a nice sparkling shimmer when it catches light. I typically use the shimmering inks with a medium or broad nib to lay down more ink on the paper in order to achieve a better shimmering effect. However, with this ink, the glitter particles are so fine that it works well with fine nibs. Just be sure to shake ty3 bottle well before drawing it into the pen. I typically shake my pen before writing for good measure. I haven't had any issues with particulate buildup when cleaning this ink out of the pens. I typically stay away from loading a particulate ink in my finer pens, but I feel comfortable with this one. Anyone looking for a nice shimmering blue won't be disappointed.

Absolutely gorgeous ink, in Shimmering Seas ! I need this in more colors!
I purchased this ink to use in multiple fountain pens and it did not disappoint. From stubs to flexible nibs, it absolutely shone. Sparkled even! I don't understand why anyone would want sheerness in this ink, you'd lose the shimmering effect if the colors were lighter. I purchased the color Shimmering Seas and it's been an absolute blast to use. I will say, you absolutely have to shake the bottle before filling up a fountain pen cartridge. The shimmer sinks to the bottom of the ink bottle and stays there until you shake it up. This ink performed well as both a fountain pen ink and a dip pen ink, with the caveat that I expected 0 shimmer from the ink when I used it with a dip pen. I was surprised it worked well as a dip ink, it had great flow and wasn't too watery or viscous. It also tended to sit well on the top of the page and didn't bleed on more modern papers like some of my other inks. The only weakness of this ink is that it's pretty water soluble. It'll wash off a page, and it will wash off your hands in a day or so. I love this ink and brand and can't wait to get more colors!

This fountain pen ink is beautiful to use. The colors are true to the advertisement and I would recommend this to other fountain pen lovers.

Really pleased with this ink. I run it primarily in my ahab. Dries fast and doesn’t smudge and it looks great. Will definitely be buying more.
