P1 Plus 13.3" Portable Monitor for Laptop, 2021 New Full HD IPS 1080P Display Laptop Screen Extender, Dual Laptop Monitor Screen for 13.3"-16.5" Laptops/PS5/Switch (Dual Monitor)

I purchased this monitor primarily to be a portable monitor for my Nintendo Switch, as it is listed as compatible with such. Technically, it is compatible, however the 13.3 " monitor DOES NOT have built in audio... making it essentially useless for that purpose. It DOES connect easily and the image quality is adequate but not outstanding. The OLED Switch monitor actually looks a little sharper and has better brightness and contrast. Build feels more on the cheap side, but that was expected based on other reviews. Leaving 2 stars for now as the listing is definitely NOT clear regarding this. Reaching out to product support and will see how that goes.ADDENDUM: Customer support with the seller has been perfect and they are working with me towards a solution. My situation could have been avoided with a very thorough reading of the item listing prior to purchase, how ever the information I needed is not readily visible. The monitor is just as it's supposed to be, just be sure to read the model comparison table to make sure you know what you're getting.Received the replacement monitor. The smaller screen seems to be better built. Image and sound are as expected. Body and hinge are much more solid. The 13.3 inch hinge broke on the first use but the 12 inch P1 is made slightly different. It holds up better. Would recommend this model.

While it worked, it served its purpose well -- it connects relatively easily, the screen secures well, the stand in the back can come loose but as long as you're sitting still and at a flat table it's fine and stays put. The screen quality is fine. It's not great, I definitely would NOT recommend it for designers. It's fine for spreadsheets and docs, etc...All that aside, after 5 months of use my screen started flickering, and ultimately altogether stopped working. I tried a different cord that I know works, but the screen still won't turn on. Pretty annoying for the price point, especially considering that I have now gone back and looked at other 1 star reviews and see that this is a consistent issue with this product and that my timeline of use is parallel to many other users. Overall, for this reason, I would not recommend this product and I hope the manufacturers take a closer look at what makes this product non-functional after such a short period of time. Not only is it a bad consumer experience, but it feels incredibly wasteful.

UPDATE: The seller contacted me and was incredibly helpful in getting a new screen sent out right away. The new screen works great and I'll update again after a few months to confirm it has continued to work well :-)I looked at many sidecar-type screen options for my new laptop and finally settled on this one. I was so excited to get it and it worked great right out of the package. Made my life SO much easier...for just over a month. Literally within a week of the return date closing, it started flickering after I would use it for 5-10 min. Within a few days it was turning on and off EVERY 2-3 min, and now after a few minutes of usage it just goes completely black until I do a "hard reset" by unplugging it and plugging it back in. Incredibly frustrating especially since I liked it so much and it started doing this just outside the return window. It does the same thing on every computer, so I know it's not just my one laptop that it has issues with. Now I'm out $230 and still don't have a second laptop screen.

9/13/2022:I have a older laptop that doesn't have USB-C, only mini-DP and USB 3 ports, so I had to buy a mini-DP to HDMI adaptor cable, and power it using USB-C cable. I typically let it stand on it self, and use it vertically. The base is very versatile.The display itself is also great, very bright and vibrant.However, just like everything else in life, there's always a catch, and that is the cheap @ss housing that is made out of cheap plastic. Especially the plastic hinge. It is very fragile. Mine broke after less than 5 months.I just contacted customer service, let's see what they are going to do about it.9/14/2022:I sent an email to [email protected] yesterday. 24 hours later, no response.I took the liberty to take off the plastic cover on the mechanical hinge.As you can see in the photos, there are 4 tiny screws holding the screen on two hinges. Two screws on each side.The the screws are held by the plastic posts that broke off. Very bad design. Should they make the plastic posts with thicker and stronger materials, this wouldn't be a problem to begin with.Currently I am on hold with Amazon Support team, let's see what they can do.9/18/2022I received a replacement screen from the seller "CIDETTY Electronics". Their customer service is top notch.The seller did not require me to ship them the broken screen.As a gesture of good will, I am changing my review to 5 stars.My original comments regarding the screen's build quality stands.The new replacement screen, no doubt in my mind, will have the same issues. However, I have some ideas to reinforce the hinge with epoxy. I'll update this review in the future.9/21/2022The hinge on the new screen has a bigger screw, see attached photo. Hopefully, this improvement will hold up the abuse in the coming days.

When it came factory charged it worked great. Now, it won’t hold a charge, tried multiple ways for different days and it still doesn’t work.

I wasn’t even flexing the screen. My set-up is relatively stable.Update as of August 2022: While so much can be said about the quality of the product, the company's customer service , on the other hand, has been impressive. I updated the rating to 3 stars to offset the previous rating because their customer service team has been prompt and helpful.

I had ordered a different one, a double screen previously. We had so much difficulty even removing the screens so that we can set it up. Set up was next to impossible and we could only get one of the monitors to work. It was so frustrating and I ended up returning it. I came across this one and was hesitant at first because of my previous experience but decided I would give it a try and OMG it was so so easy to set it up that I thought I must have done something wrong lol. It works great and set up is a breeze. I absolutely love it! Thank you for making it so simple!
