What you see is what you get
It’s exactly as shown in the picture. It’s very easy to assemble—which is good, because my cats knock it apart once or twice a week. If they rub vigorously against it, they can dislodge the supports, and it springs apart. That’s not a problem, just a surprise. The base is a hexagon of durable carpet. My cats love to claw it.I knocked off one star because of how easy it comes apart. Five stars is for perfect, and this isn’t QUITE perfect. But it’s really good, and my cats love it.

for smaller cats
Bought this for my two Maine Coon kittens both 8 months old. This was easily put together within a couple of minutes. It is rather flimsy and easily overturned. My kittens are already large, the male is 20lbs and the female is 10 lbs. The female can fit under the arch but the male can only lay underneath. The pom pom lasted all of 5 minutes, my female pulled it off easily. Pom poms are her toy of choice. At this time they do not seem interested in using the bristles to groom themselves. This might work better for smaller cats at it is very light and tips easily. Perhaps if it were on a heavier base. Since the pom pom was ripped off they really don't seem interested in it.

Groomer is good quality, but my cat doesn't like it
Product is constructed of heavy plastic, and easy to assemble. My cat very old, and sheds all the time so, this product seemed like a good idea. Ms Kitty wants nothing to do with it. I tried spraying cat nip on it which got her attention for 30 seconds or so the first time I sprayed it, but other than that, she won't go near it. We even tried showing her the advantage of it by rubbing her head againt the little combs, that didn't go over well at all. Seems like this device was the answer to her sheadding and rubbing again furniture, but it didn't work, thank goodness I didn't buy the expensive one.

Probably great, but the cat won't tell me
Looks like it would be fine. It seems sturdy enough, and was pretty easy to put together. I can't, in good conscience, give it 5 stars, because I have no idea how well the little fingers work for grooming. The cat won't actually go through it. I put catnip on the base and she will stick her head in to get it, being very careful not to touch the sides. (She's pretty, but not particularly bright.) I wrapped the hanging ball around the top, and wedged it out of the way, in case that was bugging her, but that wasn't it. Didn't cut it off because I'm sure future cat will enjoy it.

Cat problem?
My cat, well, actually my grand daughter's, but she ignores it, always wants rubbies. The cat hair sticks to my computer screen. I thought this would help but he/she/it doesn't get the hang of it. She played with the ball often, but another grand daughter pulled it off. The cat will roll around on it if I put catnip on it, but she doesn't get the rubbing on the bristles thing. I might try the one that is an actual brush. I am puzzled. If I was a cat that liked rubbies, I would think this was the Big Meow.

but the product is not very sturdy. It is two pieces of plastic stuck onto ...
For the price it's okay, but the product is not very sturdy. It is two pieces of plastic stuck onto the piece of carpet and snapped together to form the arch. The "teeth" aren't the greatest at removing hair, but the cats seem to like the way they feel on their faces. My 15 pound cat has to duck down to go under the arch, but he does and enjoys the petting. My 7 pound girl isn't quite tall enough to reach the top of the arch; she enjoys scratching the base though.

Needs improvement
I was unsatisfied with this purchase, and later bought the Purrfect Arch Self Groomer which is markedly better. This product is okay, but it has a few design flaws: the nibs are only on the lower part of the arch, so the cat has to hunch over to use them (he does not use it while laying as pictured in the product photo), the base is low, which makes the nibs even less accessible, and the construction is not very sturdy. I would not recommend this product.

Flimsy, Functional, Cats would rate it 4 stars too.
Four stars because I'm sure the manufacturing cost in less than $1.50 for this. The carpet is flimsy but functional, the plastic pieces feel cheap. However it goes together as designed and my cats were sitting on high alert as I unboxed it. That has never happened with any other toy. The yellow ball was destroyed in a few minutes, I took it off. I need to find something else to hang there, the cats really liked with with hanging stuff they can kill. As a groomer, they have not really used it.

Positive play item with a huge WARNING!
I usually start with positive feedback first; but feel necessary to share my cat's initial experiences. Please read all information. See picturesNEGATIVE feedback: It took less than 3 sceonds of playing, for my cat to decimate the yellow fluff ball. Yellow strands caught in his throat and mouth. I needed to clear his airway as he was in trouble. He wasn't able to meow, just gagging and pawing the yellow fibers around his mouth. I do not wish to think what may have happened if he wasn't supervised. The ball needs a better securing loop to keep all the pompom material together. The issue is NOT the ball's tethering to the stand!! The package has a warning. However, it needs presented on the front of the package.WARNING!! THE YELLOW FLUFFY BALL DOES NOT STAND UP TO CAT PLAY! IT IS A CHOKING HAZARD FOR CATS. (As well as children!)The base could use more weight for heavier cats. My one cat maneuvered the base against the cupboard and happily carries out the mandatory facial rubbing.POSITIVE feedback: My cats love this grooming/toy stand. Each one takes a turn rolling over the carpeted base. The grooming bars are sturdier than it might appear. The tension at the base ensures the arch won't collapse. This toy is frequently used throughout the day. I'm making a woollen pompom that won't disintegrate during use.

Amazing?!
They either fixed the ball or people are whinney. I’ve had it for maybe a month and the ball is still hanging strong. It looked flimsy at first but it’s actually not bad! It’s really easy to set-up and I was weary that my cat wouldn’t even play with it or not use the grooming part of it. To my surprise, she went right for it, playing with the ball for roughly thirty seconds and proceeded to groom herself on the sides repeatedly.I’m sure some of your cats won’t even touch it, but that’s not a reason to give a bad review for a great product. (I don’t usually write reviews this long but I had to give my two cents on how I felt; about people giving bad ratings when they shouldn’t and give credit when it’s due.)

It’s ugly, it’s flimsy, cats love it
You get what you pay for. The base is kind of this cheap foam carpet material that’s only a cm thick and the worst shade of green (brighter in person- matches the carpet my nan had on her stairs in the 90s) The Pom Pom started falling apart after just a few days. It comes apart if my active cat tries to use it, since the only thing holding it together is that cheap foam carpet. My older cat absolutely loves it though and I cant regret buying it when it makes him happy.Would not recommend for any cats that are young or active or bigger than 11 lbs. Also not recommended for anyone who wants to hide how cheap their budget was for this toy. I do recommend for 15 year old overweight lap cats and for people who are patient enough to fix it when it comes apart
