My favorite blades
I have tried many different brands of blades from Feather to Wizamet super iridium to Platinum Strangelet Super Sharps. The Wizamet blades are a close second place to the Rapira Platinum Lux for me. However the Wizamet blades are way more expensive and a little harsher to my skin. They also tug the beard a little on the first pass. Everyone's beards and skin sensitivity are different so this is a subjective review. I have sensitive skin and a pretty coarse beard, I also shave my head with these same blades. I find that the Rapira Platinum Lux will glide through a beard growth of 72 hours easily with no tugging or pulling of the hairs. I rarely get nicks with these blades and I never get razor burn or razor bumps later on. I can get a 4.5 out of 5 star rating with a 2 pass shave and a 5 out of 5 star with a 3 pass shave. I get 5 shaves out of each blade before the 4.5 star rating starts to drop a little. I would say on the sixth shave the rating drops to about a 4 star for a 2 pass shave. I will try to explain my definition of the Rapira Platinum Lux. Super long lasting blade which makes it very cost effective, it glides aggressively through the beard with no tugging. It is smooth and gentle on the face and neck, a very good friend to sensitive skin. To me these blades are magical, my favorite blade so far out of dozens of manufacturers I have tried.

Excellent DE blade for the price.
I got into DE shaving last year. I bought a cheap handle and tried the blades that came with it, which I didn't like. I bought a 5 pack of Van Der Hagen blades from the store for $3 and I didn't like those either. So I spent $10 and ordered a custom sample pack of 2 of each of maybe 7 or 8 different blades. I found 1 or 2 I liked out of the bunch, but one was pretty expensive and the other didn't seem too common. I'm cheap and wanted to settle on blades I could easily find so I wasn't ready to commit to buying either. I figured I'd give it one last try before I went back to cartridge blades and ordered a few more brands to sample, these being one. Right away I noticed how sharp they were for a cheaper blade, but they are actually pretty smooth as well! First shave was OK, but it got progressively better the more I got used to the way they shaved. Are they a Feather, Merker, or some kind of premium blade? No, but for the price they are excellent and seem to work rather well with my face profile/hair growth. These will probably last me a year and for $6 (for 35 blades) given the job they do, I have zero complaints so far.

Definitely worth a try!!
These are pretty sharp blades, not Feather sharp, but still very sharp and very smooth. I’ve had good luck with Russian blades on my face and to me these feel a lot like sharper Astra SP’s. I don’t have the thickest or coarsest beard, more like medium density and average amount of hair, but I can get baby tushy smooth with two passes. I always liked Astra’s, but it took at least three passes to get somewhat smooth. My only complaint is that I really only get two great shaves with these. I do shave every other day, so that could possibly be a factor, but the third shave I had with these was only okay and not as smooth. With that said these are VERY inexpensive blades. Some sellers have these Rapiras for under $10 for 100 blades, which would last me probably two years or more if I shave every other day.I would definitely buy these again. I want to try some more Russian blades, so 35 blades is a good amount, but I have a feeling I’ll probably end up coming back to these because of how sharp and smooth they are!

Another fine blade from Moscow
I've enjoyed almost all the blades from the Russian Rapira plant, but these are the pick of the litter. I love Ladas and the Swedish Supersteel blades from the same plant, but the Platinum Lux surpasses both. Smoooooth, and plenty sharp.

Very sharp, high quality blades. I get 6 to 8 great shaves from each. These and Feather brand are my very favorites.
