Not a great design
The base of these units appears to be cast aluminum. The mounting holes have a flat land in them that allows one to put screws into the hole and have them disappear out of sight. Nice design however the mounting holes do not have enough material in them to extend to the rear plane of the baseplate so if you put screws in too tight, you will break the mounting holes away from the body.Secondarily, the screws included are meant for counter sunk holes, which these are not. If you screw these down too tightly, the conical pressure of the screws will spread the mounting hole and break it as well.If you procure these, be prepared to purchase regular pan head screws to mount these so that you can at least avoid the tendency to break the mounting holes laterally.I am going to pour exopy resin into mine and let that set before mounting these to try to overcome the design weaknesses.

ABSOLUTE JUNK! Don't waste your money on these.
I read previous reviews and see where I needed to buy some pan head machine screws to mount to the side of my truck flat bed, instead of the cheesy self tapping counter sunk screws that come with it. So I bought the screws and self locking nuts at my local hardware store for $5 and proceeded to drill 4 holes in the side of my bed to mount the anchors. I was utilizing a 1/4" drive ratchet and socket to tighten down the nuts, going slow and deliberate and taking it easy. I didn't use my air tools or battery operated ratchet to tighten the nuts down. And all 4 mount holes broke and I wasn't even close to tight yet! Absolute JUNK! Don't waste your money. About the only use I could see these for is going into wood, and tieing up nothing heavier than a canoe on the shore of a calm lake! Amazon quit selling these!
