My refrigerator started to get a plastic like odor. I found that plastic grocery bags had fallen behind the fridge and got stuck to the fan. I removed the bags but the odor in the fridge and freezer stayed. And it got into the food. I wiped everything down and put baking soda in there but the odor persisted. So I tried these odor absorbers. I have an average size fridge. I put one in the freezer and one in the fridge. After a few days the odor was just about gone. I have lived with the odor for almost a year and almost bought a new refrigerator because of it! These odor absorbers are great and saved me a lot of money. They have no scent of their own. I will definitely be buying more. They say to change them every 6 months and I will.

Overview:I recently replaced my kitchen sink and plumbing due to a badly deteriorated drain assembly that was leaking water to the cabinet below the sink (you can see the damage in one of the pictures). After drying/cleaning up the damage, I placed a fan and removed the cabinet doors to help with the musty smell, but it didn’t eliminate the smell entirely. I was going to put a box of baking soda, but decided to look online to see if there was a better solution. Came across these Fridge-it cubes and reading thru the description, I saw the bold claim that it was ‘better than baking soda’. I’ll have to admit, I was very skeptical. I decided to purchase it and placed three of the cubes into the cabinet. The next morning, I was amazed that all of the musty smell was gone. I literally stuck my head down into the cabinet area and still couldn’t smell it. I would say that these cubes live up to the bold claim of ‘better than baking soda’.Advantages:-small size-fast acting-simple packaging and instructions-multi useDisadvantages:-I would say the only disadvantage would be that the design of the cubes looks like a toy, so just be cautious if you have toddlers that like to open cabinet or fridge doors.

This little purple cube works miracles! It keeps my fridge stink-free, without smelling it up with "artificial" scents. One thing the Innofresh folks need to work on though is the hook for this gadget. I can't tell you how many times I've knocked it off its hooked spot with my hand, or moving items around the shelf. Also, since this is a great, environmentally-friendly product, why can't it be REFILLED? There's got to be some way...figure it out, Innofresh! We shouldn't have to keep buying these cute purple cubes. You need a refillable version.

Before leaving for a week-long vacation, my husband and I forgot to freeze some salmon we had in the fridge. Needless to say, when we got back the fridge, freezer, and everything in them had a scent that was so overwhelmingly pungent I might have opted to replace it altogether if I hadn’t found this product. I was skeptical given the level of odor we had, but the reviews and price made me decide it was worth a shot. I purchased three and placed two in our fridge and one in the freezer. Before doing so- I did throw out everything that was in the fridge and gave all surfaces a good cleaning. It took about 2-3 days for the smell to no longer be noticeable, but I could tell a difference after the first day. For such a small product, it is quite powerful. I have no doubt it would be great as an everyday deodorizer for your home. We keep one always now in our fridge and freezer. Would recommend!

I bought this to remove the odors in my 5.3 cu. foot chest freezer. When I first placed it in there, the odors were gone within 24 hours. It's been in place now for a little over a month and I've occasionally noticed some odors returning. Nothing nearly as bad as it was, but I had hoped it do a better, more long-term job. Perhaps I need to purchase a few more to completely rid my freezer of odors, but since it's pretty small I had thought just one would do the trick.

I loved this fridge deodorizer so much, I bought it again, but this time in a 3 pack! It really works. I typically have an array of smelly items in my fridge such as kimchi and meats. It came to the point where I never even wanted to open my fridge because of the smell. I decided to give this a try and I'm really glad I did. From the moment I hung it inside my fridge, it evaporated all the odor right away! I even stuck my head in the fridge and gave it a few sniffs to really see if there was any smell lol. To my surprise, NO SMELL AT ALL!!!! I loved it so much that I decided to get another one for my freezer and also a few extras for when the power starts to wear off. Great product. I will be recommending to all my friends and family.

I recently bought a used fridge for my workshop on Facebook marketplace, and while I was excited to have a new-ish stainless steel fridge, I nearly gagged whenever I opened it. I think the previous owner used it to store rotting roadkill carcasses, or perhaps was experimenting with new stink bomb components.Meanwhile, down at my house, my wife left some unpasteurized French Cheese in the back of our fridge, and this too nearly made me wretch. I love stinky cheese, but this had rotted and liquified.Upon searching online, I came across these goofy-assed purple-violet gadgets. I installed them, with great skepticism, in both appliances.The following morning, I shrieked in astonishment, and yelled at my wife to hurry downstairs for a wiff of the fridge. It smelled like..absolutely nothing, if nothing could smell like anything. I dashed to work and opened the fridge there, and -- more of the same, if nothing-ness can be more of anything.Both appliances really stunk. Now they don't. Buy these weird little purple-violet things. They work.
