For anyone who's ever loved and lost... their stethoscope
Running back to the hospital one day from being outside to make it in time for afternoon rounds, I happened to not notice my Special Edition Copper Littmann stethoscope, the one that everyone identified me with, had slipped off somewhere. I spent the next four months looking for it, questioning everyone I saw with that same stethoscope where they had got it from, secretly trying to see the engraved name on the bell, hoping it was mine. I never found that stethoscope. But I did gain an appreciation for those anesthesiologists who I always saw with their stethoscopes clipped on their hips, like gunslingers in the wild west, only cooler, since they were anesthesiologists. But for many more months I continued to wear my free MRSA stethoscope around my neck, and even the cardiology IV I recently bought to replace my special edition Copper, I still wore that around my neck, not having learned my lesson. I went around with a stethoscope around my neck, discoloring my white coat with the black rubber tubing on the collar, and frequently still finding that it was slipping off to the right or left of my shoulders during rounds, to my annoyance. I never got around to purchasing a hip clip myself, that is, until I found this gem of a set on Amazon... Hip clip, light, and name tag??? Sign me up!Let me make it clear; I got rid of my pen light and reflex hammer and tuning fork (really? do we really need those) as soon as I got that $300,000 paper that said M.D. "Pfft, I'll never need these again.." I was wrong. First day as a doctor, my attending asks "did you check pupillary light reflex?" Ummm..... I thought that was only for neurologists?? Turns out, almost every specialty needs a light of some sort, to look into the depths of the eyes and see if a patient is stroking out on you, to look inside the mouth and evaluate mallampati, sometimes to find that Dorito you dropped on the floor if you're a radiologist sitting in the reading room... Everyone needs a light. The fact that this hip clip stethoscope holder comes with a penlight that I can attach right to my stethoscope so I don't have to carry any more junk in my tiny white coat pockets that already weigh too much while I'm standing for hours on ICU rounds, man, sign me up! And this thing is fantastic as a light! Most pen lights you need the room to be darker to really see a cranial nerve 3 response, otherwise you're not gonna make out the pupil getting any smaller. Here though, the patient can be staring at the sun, and I'll STILL get pupillary constriction if I shine them in the eye with this sucker! It's bright! The stethoscope holder is a regular hip-clip, wild west dream come true. Saves my white coat from black marks and people can finally stop asking me "when's the last time you washed that thing??" LAST WEEK, jeez, I don't have time to do laundry daily, I'm a doctor! In all seriousness, the main reason I bought this set was for this clip. And it's rock solid. With the pen light clipped around the stethoscope bell, it adds some heft to my stethoscope, so there is no way I'm not gonna miss this thing if I somehow leave it lying somewhere. I'd definitely know I left my cardiology IV somewhere and would start searching asap before the vulture nurses (who only carry the MRSA steths since they long ago lost their own littmanns) come searching for easy prey near the computers..The name tag... C'mon, you all have the same exact cardiology III regular edition black tubing stethoscope that every other Joe Schmo doctor, nurse, PA, EMT, PT, OT, probably even social worker is carrying around in the ED pretending they can hear "that murmur.." you need to customize that thing and make it CLEAR that it's yours! And I'm not talking about the laser engraving littmann gives you on the bell that literally blends in with the serial number... this name tag will make those vultures think twice before picking up your steth if you so happen to abandon your baby accidentally while responding to a code in haste. They'll see your name. They'll know. This kit will make it so that you won't lose your stethoscope again.Safe to say, I'm very happy with this product. Everything feels sturdy, it's well made, and best of all, it won't break the bank when you're already a bajillion dollars in debt. And it all comes packaged together! Yay for efficiency! If anyone sees someone walking around with a Copper Cardiology IIII.. you know who to message. I'll be right there. In the meantime, I'll stick to my Cardiology IV, knowing I've made a worthy investment with this product so that I won't lose that as well.

Neat little starter pack!
Finding this set really helpful. My white coat gets pretty full during rounds and this certainly helps unclutter everything. The light is better than expected and can hang pretty much anywhere from your tubing to the bell. Seems much stronger than the standard pen light especially since it's a lot harder to turn on by itself. So far so good!!

The Light and Hip Clip Worked
The light and the hip clip work great, and I feel those two items are worth the price I paid so I am not returning the pack. The ID tag however, sucks. Getting it on was a struggle - the strap really REALLY wants to slide on top and not slide underneath as it is supposed to. Convincing it to go where it should required pliers and a solid 10 minutes of cursing at it. Once on, the provided name plate was either approx. 2mm too long to fit into the space where it is supposed to go or 2mm too short to have even adhesion with the lip around the space where it looks like it's supposed to go. However you want to look at it, it does not fit in any way where it would adhere well enough to survive even 5min into a shift. I am very glad I made a label for it and didn't spend $7+ having it engraved, as I was angry enough wasting a couple cents worth of label tape.

Must have product for any healthcare provider!
This is a must have for any healthcare provider. I am a medical student and I can honestly say it met all my expectations. I have a standard black Littmann 3M stethoscope that practically every student, resident, or attending has and I cannot even tell you how many times someone has mistaken mine for theirs. Despite my stethoscope being engraved, the small and faint letters go unnoticed by others. This product comes with an ID tag that allows you to write your name and it fits comfortably on the bridge of the stethoscope making it look very professional. My favorite feature of the product is the flashlight attachment that fits perfectly around the diaphragm of the stethoscope. Initially I was a little concerned that it would be too bulky but it fits like a glove. There comes a sense of confidence when I am able to examine a patient without fumbling for objects in my pocket. As a student, this makes you look better in front of the residents/attendings and also makes the patient trust you more. I have lost several penlights and the flashlight attachment has allowed much smoother transitions between components of my physical exam. I highly recommend this product and its outstanding value for its price.

The stethoscope holder works great and the name tag fit my Littman Cardio IV ...
The stethoscope holder works great and the name tag fit my Littman Cardio IV with no problem. There was nothing wrong with the flash light however I just didn't care for the flashlight. If you put the flashlight around the drum, it doesn't fit into the holder which makes the holder pointless. So I decided to put the flashlight on the tubing as one review suggested but doing that was not my thing, it felt like it was a piece of plastic sliding up and down the tubing. I only gave a 4 star because I only use the holder and the name tag. The flashlight became a toy for my 16 year old son.

Holder works well!
I gotta say, this wasn't as great as I thought it'd be. The holder's clip is just a bent piece of plastic, but it works ok. The light is good, but no option for keeping the light on without you pressing it - that I found, anyway. The light makes the stethoscope rather heavy, so I don't think I'll keep it clipped there. I may just have it clipped to the tube as others in the reviews did, for an easy access light. The name tag is barely worth mentioning. I personally didn't like how it sticks out and couldn't find a place on my steth where I liked it. It also barely fit and was quite flimsy, and the joining edges of the tag wouldn't seem to clip together right. I got this for the holder anyway... I hope it stays on my belt while going about my day.
