This book was fantastic! I passed Praxis II Social Studies Exam 5086 with above average rating and that’s something i definitely contribute to this book.The chapters’ content were concise enough to study within a short time, but long enough to thoroughly cover the material. The questions provided both by chapter and the included practice exam at the end were well worded and thought provoking. After taking the actual exam, I can say the questions included within this book were very similar, if not the exact same! For anyone looking to take Praxis II 5086 I recommend splurging and purchasing this textbook - you won’t be disappointed!

I used this book for a month leading up to the exam. I studied every Saturday for 3-4 hours. It had been several years since my last history course since I was a political science major. I re-learned so much from this book that I had forgotten since high school. I passed the exam with a 175 my first time. If I take another Praxis exam, I’ll only use these study books. I also used the same company for my PLT and passed that as well. Great study tool!

This book is concise and information dense. While I’m sure the majority of the information included is accurate the little factual errors included make me question what else might be incorrect. This for example, claims bin Laden was killed the year 9/11 happened. Having lived through both events and remembering both clearly I know this is incorrect - what else is incorrect? For the amount spent one would thing this book would have been proof read for errors such as this.

A left leaning text attempting to change the historical narrative to fit the cuk/beta-male culture of today’s academics. This is a sad example of the future for education. I weep for the generations to come.

This book does cover the basics of the Social Studies Praxis and I am using it to study. However, I found multiple errors in the content. Such as the year the U.S. Constitution was ratified and the year Richard Nixon was elected. These probably won't cause you to fail the test, but it's hard to have confidence in the book that is full of errors and mistakes.
