Professional Dome Port Housing Over Under lense Compatible with GoPro Hero, Hero+, Hero+ LCD, Hero 3+, Hero 4 -LCD Touch BacPac

Worked with this for videography of aquatic life for a couple of weeks now. This is not a "new toy" review. Read complaints of leaks so, considering the price, I tested the dome seals front and back. No leaks. Just in case, I decided to try a silicone adhesive to ~permanently mount a dedicated GoPro housing to the unit. It leaked, and then fogged. So I removed the GoPro housing to allow for evaporation, cleaned the inside of water spots with a Q-tip. Then tried the silicone grease supplies with the unit. Worked just fine, no leaks, no fogging. Very pleased with this dome housing. Nicely made unit. Got some really neat shots with it already.

When I tried it out for the first time, it leaked. I contacted a customer who had the same dome and said his never leaked. He told me to try tightening up all the screws on the back of the dome so I did that. I also replaced the o-ring just incase and on the second use, it worked flawlessly! This is a very durable feeling product and would highly recommend it!

Would like to give this product 5 stars. It is so much better than the competing versions. Sadly, it leaked on the first use, despite the fact that I was careful with it and did not submerge it below 2 feet. And to make matters worse, there is no way to disassemble it to clean the resulting salt deposits off the inside of the dome. Quite disappointed with what initially appeared to be a perfect product.UPDATE: I contacted the seller and they refunded my money, although I would rather have a working product.

So far so good! Good customer service I emailed them to find out if it came apart to clean it before I broke it trying to. They responded within 24 hours. They said it unscrews but it can be difficult. I was able to unscrew it by applying a little heat with a heat gun then using a wrench to turn it. That's the only complaint that I have. Other than that it is amazing! I am very impressed with the quality. It does not leak at all!

Dome came all packed and clean with no visible scratches and clean. Tested Dome for leaks with a GoPro housing attached to it and immersed in a bucket of water. No leaks. Took the Aquadome out to beach to test in shorebreaks and shoot several over and under shots. Performed as promised. So far so good. No leaks. Finally figured out how to remove plastic hood by pinching inward the large flange of hood towards each other to release plastic latch. Used straight edge to release rest of hood being careful not to scratch Dome. Hood snaps in backplate grooves when needed. Looking forward to shooting in more larger waves. Absolute ridged construction. Aluminum backplate with metal fasteners and stainless steel bracket with space for standard GoPro housing and bacpac housing extension is tops. Design very sturdy. Too bad replacement "Dome only" not available for replacement of overtly scratched Dome. Easier then trying to buff out scratches with several grit sandpaper and polish compounds needed to be bought separately. Due to test in deeper waters soon. So far so good. Great product.

Haven’t used it yet but it’s way too big. Bigger than I through it was. It will be fun...might use it two or three times and I’m sure that will be it. Too big, too much to lug around & too much set up time.

This dome looks great, but when I put it in the water for the first time I noticed that WATER LEAKS INSIDE THE DOME! My GoPro's housing is almost brand new and fits pretty snug inside the dome, but it looks like the o-rings are not doing their job. I am going to give the dome a second chance and try to come up with a temporary DIY fix. Overall the dome is fantastic, but I would recommend that you do not fully submerge it the first time to check for leaks. I tried looking for AquaDome parts or even a website but came up empty. If anyone knows how to solve this leaky o-ring issue, please let me know!

The Aquadome Professional Dome Port Housing works well for under/over shots in water. I've only had a chance to use it with my Hero 4 Silver once, but it sealed well and produced interesting photos. Unfortunately, the water in the lake I was kayaking in was fairly green, so I wasn't able to get anything truly fantastic. I will definitely try it out the next time I am in clearer water, though. I liked the small lever that lets you push the button on the front of the camera while it is in the dome. I didn't have to my phone to control the mode while out in my kayak.I wish I had one of these when I went to the Bahamas last year, but I didn't realize a dome port housing was necessary to get the cool under/over shots. Without it, a standard GoPro works great underwater or above, but you won't get the shot you are looking for if you want to focus on both at the same time. Check out Pinterest for some amazing images.
