Dogtra 1900S Rechargeable Dog Training Collar - 3/4 Mile Range - Waterproof - Adjustable Levels for Dogs

I have a shepherd husky mix who is great off leash but becomes a maniac on leash. It is so embarrassing and frustrating. I tried all the training tricks. I decided on an e-collar when it became an impairment to our lives. Especially since I walk her tandem with my other husky shepherd. I purchased 2 other collars, including the $200 petsafe 900 trainer, and neither worked. I would have them on the highest setting and no response. I was surprised since I have the petsafe invisible fence and it works great. I did a ton of research on Dogtra. I purchased the 1in prongs as well. This is a must with long haired dogs. The Dogtra e-collar is seriously amazing and effective. I was overjoyed. She is already becoming a different dog. I have not had to go over 33 (it goes to 127). That is remarkable given how seriously insane she gets (like Taz the cartoon). I pair the collar with positive reinforcement - treats and praise. The system is also easy to use and comes in a high quality carrying case. The remote works every time. It is easy to tell on and off. The three options are perfect for getting attention. I am so grateful to find something that works. She is not at all upset by it. It honestly makes her life better because we all enjoy walks. When she gets a nick or zap, she ignores the other dog and starts sniffing something else. She is not hurt or scared. This is worth every penny if you and your dog are suffering from leash aggression. Don't waste your time with other brands. If you have a big, fluffy, boisterous dog, this is the system for you! I am so relieved.

Works great! Has a lot of different settings so your pup will not be hurt, just corrected. Very easy to use and has a long strap that can but cut for proper fitting. The bowl it came with is small but it’s a nice touch.

I have always been hesitant to use an ecollar due to bad people using them improperly. But with proper training for both you and your beloved dog, this can be the best tool you can have. My dog has so much freedom off leash. Her reactivity has reduced due to not being held back. Her recall is spot on now and I only use the stimulation when I don't hear her coming. She readily lets me put it on her, but still runs from her harness (which is her seat belt for car rides). I can confidently take her to off leash locations! We can go days without charging, even if we use it more frequently, like over the weekends. I put duct tape at the point when it fits her best, so putting it on her is quick and easy. And I trimmed the excess. It is waterproof, but please take it off to let the fur dry under it. The training videos on the main website for the product are great, too.

This collar is working well for my 100 lb GSD mix. To be honest, I had tried several of the cheap e-collars, which worked okay when he was a puppy, bit he is 3 years old now, and those didn't have much effect on him any longer. This 1900s is working very well; he pays attention much better, and seems calmer. Usually, just the vibration is enough to get his attention, but occasionally I have to use the tick, which is a great feature. We have rarely used the shock at around level 40. The collar and remote are very sturdy. I did have to swap out the original points for the titanium ones, but they have helped with the irritation on his neck. Overall, it's a really good product!
