Is this 1 package or 10 packages of 6 sachet set?

It's one package of I believe 6 sachets. There is no English on the package but one sachet will gel oil while it's still hot. Will not work on cold oil.

The amount indicated on the product is to use 1 packet of 600ml. How to use: Raise the oil temperature to 80C (176F) or higher and turn off the fire. After that, add the appropriate powder according to the oil capacity, and stir enough until the powder is dissolved. After that, let it sit for at least an hour until the oil hardens. It will gradually harden, and it is said that it should not fall over when the middle chopstick is inserted. Hope this helps. thank you.

Can you put the hardened oil in compost

No it cannot be used for any other purpose

what if you have 1/4 cup of oil, can you sprinkle a little from the packet?

One package is for 400ml so logically you can use about 1/6 package in HOT OIL ( it’s not working in warm to cold oil).
