Fantastic optics
I actually love love love the optics on the mask. So clear ,so easy to see what I'm doing. Only downside and I dropped a star because of it is the headband. Too awkward to use, an ordinary headband would be better. Apart from the headband it's the business 👌.

Fantastic view.
Like the title said, this hood has a fantastic view. Personally, over the esab sentinel and speed glass. The crystal lens technology is unmatched. Only reason i gave it four stars is because I absolutely hate the isofit headgear. If you have a big head, other headgear can be used with slight modification.

Not a fan
Worn the hood for about 5 months now and honestly i'm just really dissapointed. Everything about this hood is fantastic BUT two things first off the two headgears optrel has are absolutely garbage(Isofit and the traditional) the isofit headgear has such minimum padding it's almost embarrassing, then to boot it's a pain in the ass to get on properly and once you do it slowly loosens itself and tries popping off your head. While welding i'm finding myself constantly taking it off and putting it back just to make it rest on my forehead and the back of my head again. It's especially bad for welders who prefer a ball cap over a welding cap good luck getting it to stay on your head. The other option which is the traditional headgear comes in at a WHOPPING $40 off the optrel website and it is about as cheap and crappy as your typical $15 headgear it's what you would expect on a faceshield and not a $600 hood. The ratchet on the back has to be pushed in to turn and you got only about an 1/8th of material to grab on too. I instantly threw that one in the trash might aswell burned my $40 bucks. Second thing about the hood it doesn't even go past my chin and my neck get's really bad UV burns so it's either wear a bib and cook inside your hood or burn your neck......all the while the headgear is annoying the hell out of you. Save yourselves the $600 and while speedglas is still living in the 90's good luck finding a new hood.

Extremely fragile!
I am so sad about this hood. I am a 60 year old man with 43 years experience in welding, and I buy a new hood every two years hoping to get the newest and best model available. I have never experienced anything like this before. Before I could even strike an arc with it, it was broken. The little button things have to go into the fragile little hole material and upon doing it twice they were destroyed. This is an item that is supposedly designed for professional use and able to take the rough handling that manly men put it through for ten hours a day five days a week for years and in one minute this $586.00 investment is DEAD and unwearable. I have never broken a hood, nor the headgear for that matter. I was so bummed that two weeks of researching and one more week of shipping yielded this fragile toy. I can't even say whether it's a decent hood or if the Panaramaxx lens is amazing, or if the autopilot works like magic or anything. Never struck an arc with it. As soon as I put it on my head it fell into my hands in a clump of plastic.... Broken and unusable. (Look closely at the first picture, it shows the broken holes. They no longer hold at all)Never seen anything like this. Now I have to start looking for a new one. Here we go again. The old saying that "you get what you pay for" definitely does not apply. Returned after three minutes.

Comfortable.
The comfort is incredible… pretty much like wearing a ball cap and the responsiveness and clarity of the lens system is freaky. It’s like it has built on A.I. and knows your eyes better than anyone. Bit on the pricey side but this thing is Mazeballs. Glad I spent the money.
